  • Bangalore City Group of Institutions was founded in the year 2000 by Saudagar Education Society, with the aim to contribute towards human development through academic pursuits and be a trendsetter in the field of education.   • The achievement of the Country in preventing diseases and promoting health depends upon the contribution of all members of the health team, particularly that of Nurses. Life cannot be saved merely by Medicines and Surgery. Nursing is equally important to save life and relieve suffering. Nursing is also an art and science. Nurses should be capable of serving the sick with compassion and caring hand. There are wide ranges of opportunities. Globally for nurses in the field of health and for advanced studies to develop expertise in practice, administration and teaching. For all career minded youngsters, this is an opportunity to enter this great profession; it is unique because, there is an element of service to humanity, coupled with achievement and orientation of a noble profession. We are also in the process of establishing other Para-medical/medical courses i.e. Pharmacy/physiotherapy/Ayurvedic etc. affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences & Bangalore University, Bangalore. We believe in training professional nurses from all states of India to meet the great challenges of service in the field of nursing. Professional nursing is a life long service to the people, and nursing must advance along with other health professional if society is to be assured of a comprehensive health care program. Therefore this institute prepares its students to develop ability to analyses situations and problems, critically and take responsibilities for their higher education for maximum professional effectiveness throughout their career. Further more this Institute believes in a system of nursing education that fits with the changing educational patterns globally to meet the needs of today's modern society.

    Nursing Profession which demands altruistic services from its members exerts self discipline at a personal level and general discipline in the campus.

  • Regular attendance as well as punctuality is expected from the students at lectures, demonstrations, practices, field work and other such academic exercises as well as in clinical field work and other such academic exercises and clinical experiences. They are required to attend allotted working period in each of the prescribed subjects.
  • Students are also required to present themselves neat and tidy in their dress, avoiding exaggerated fashions.
  • The students should wear the prescribed complete uniform for duty including sandal shoes and name badges. a pair of simple ear studs are permitted on duty.
  • A sense of decorum and discipline is expected from every student in the college, hospital as well as on the entire campus. Ragging is strictly prohibited. They shall not indulge themselves either individually or collectively in any form of activity that will bring down the good name of the Institution / Nursing profession.
  • Students should refrain from disfiguring walls and furniture and from other objectionable practices.
  • Students will refrain from the form of indiscipline unfitting to members of the nursing profession. They will strive at all costs to be loyal to the ethics of the institution and professional code of conduct.
  • The students should speak only in English or Kannada in the campus. Failure to follow these and these and such other regulation will necessitate the management to take disciplinary action as deemed fit.

  • Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery Programme (GNM)
  • Educational Qualification should be PUC / 10+2 / Or any equivalent passed.
  • Obtained at least 35% (Thirty-five percent) of the total marks in PUC / 10+2 / Or any equivalent.
  • Age Between 17 to 35 years of age at the time of admission
