Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Nursing, Pune, was established on 26th September 1992 under Pune University, headed by Dr. Maj. (Mrs.) Tapti Bhattacharjee. College of Nursing became a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) in 1996.
It is the first private college to provide various academic offerings in Nursing from GNM to Ph.D. The college and its degrees have approval and recognition of the Indian Nursing Council, as well as the Maharashtra Nursing Council.
Got "A" Grade Accreditation by NAAC, Bangalore in 2004 Under BVDU and was reaccredited with "A" Grade by NAAC, Bangalore in 2011.
Realizing the pressing need for trained nurses for the expanding health care systems at both regional and national levels, Bharati Vidyapeeth established this fullfledged Degree College of Nursing in 1992. It offers a four year Course leading to the B.Sc. Nursing Degree. It was then the first college of nursing in the non governmental sector in Pune. The College of also has a post graduate section in which M.Sc. (Nursing) programme with the following specialization is conducted:

3. Pediatric Nursing
4. Psychiatric Nursing
5. Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing

Admission:-

Admissions are conducted under the guidance of BVDU Pune. The College offers admission to national as well as international students. It has a separate department for international admissions. The course-wise eligibility details regarding Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Nursing admissions are given below:

• Admission to all the programmes is based on BVP CET scores
• Candidates, who have completed Class 12 from a recognised board, can apply for BSc Nursing, P.B.BSc Nursing and GNM programmes
• A candidate must have passed graduation in the relevant stream to apply for MSc Nursing programme
• Candidates, who have passed a master’s degree in the relevant stream, can apply for PhD programme

Scholarship 1

• Lila Poonawalla scholarship is provided to girls candidates who pursue graduation and post graduation courses from the college. Family’s total annual income not to exceed INR. 3,50,000/- per annum for graduation courses, and INR 3,00,000/-
• per annum for post graduation courses. Candidate should have secured minimum 60% marks in 10th, 12th standard and graduation are eligible for the scholarship. Scholarship amount will be INR 1,00,000/- per year(maximum) for graduation courses and INR 60,000/- per year (maximum) for post graduation courses.

Scholarship 2

• DMER Minority scholarship offered to the student belonging to Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi and Jain minority communities. DMER Minority scholarship is provide to students who have domicile of Maharashtra State and should have passed S.S.C from Maharashtra. The total annual income from all sources of family/ guardian should not be more than 6.00 lakh. 30% seats are reserved for female students.

Scholarship 3

• SNA / TNAI (Trained nurse association of India) Scholarship are provided to candidate from department of nursing .For TNAI candidates must have three year of membership with TNAI and for SNA after successful completion of training candidates are eligible to apply for scholarship. In SNA scholarship maximum INR 24000 /- per annum will be paid.
