Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine is a system of traditional Indian medicine, native to the Indian subcontinent. Contemporary practices are derived from Ayurvedic traditions. Ayurveda is a discipline of the upaveda or "auxiliary knowledge" in Vedic tradition.

There are also various legendary accounts of the origin of Ayurveda, e.g., that it was received by Lord Dhanvantari (or Divodasa) from Brahma Ayurvedic practices include the use of herbal medicines, mineral or metal supplementation , surgical techniques and application of oil by massages.

Future institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences,Bareilly runs under Shree Rajendra kumar Gupta Memorial Trust , Bareilly. The institute is located in the lush green environment on Bareilly- Lucknow Highway. The campus accommodates administrative ,academics,hospital,auditorium and herbal garden blocks. Home like hostel having mess facility is available for both boys and girls.
We aim at providing quality ,medical education in Ayurveda to the deserving students so that we may fulfill the mission of health for all .We assure to introduce the best academic and research environment for our students,faculty members and consultants.

BACHELOR OF AYURVEDIC MEDICINE & SURGERY

BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is an undergraduate ayurvedic course which is awarded after successful completion of a 5½ years course that focuses on the juxtaposed system of traditional Ayurveda and modern medicine.
