RJVS Bhaisaheb Sawant Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Sawantwadi is one of the reputed Private Ayurvedic Colleges in Maharashtra. The college is popularly known as RJVS Sawantwadi and was founded in the year 1984, was started to serve students with the best ayurvedic care.

The RJVS Sawantwadi is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicines.

RJVS Sawantwadi provides a good ratio of well trained and highly educated faculty members equipped with all the modern technology. It also provides sufficient numbers of non-technical staff to provide an ambience of self-learning to the students. The college is committed to uplift the health care education and output delivery system for the people of the country.

About Founders

राणी जानकीबाईसाहेब वैद्यकीय संस्थेचे भाईसाहेब सावंत आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालय, सावंतवाडी ही ज्ञानगंगा आणण्यासाठी कोकणचे सुपुत्र माजी आरोग्य व वैद्यकीय शिक्षण खात्याचे मंत्री नामदार स्वर्गीय भाईसाहेब सावंत यांचे भगीरथ प्रयत्न कारणीभूत ठरले. आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालय सावंतवाडीच्या निर्मितीमागे  आयुर्वेदोपासक वैद्य जयवंत बाळकृष्ण नाईक यांची मूळ संकल्पना व प्रेरणा जशी आहे तशीच  स्वर्गीय शेठ श्री. वसंतराव केसरकर, श्री. माधवराव मसुरकर यांचे अनमोल सहाय्य व श्री. अनंतराव पोकळे यांचेही अथक परिश्रम कारणीभूत आहेत.
