Introduction

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune is run by Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust (BRACT). The Trust was established on the 16th of June 1975 under Bombay Trust Act of 1950. The Trust undertakes educational, religious, and social activities. "Vishwakarma" as per Indian mythology, is an architect-engineer of the Gods. The Trust has adopted this name with a vision to develop engineers who can take up challenges in the technical field with original work and creativity.

Institute History

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, a highly commendable private institute, occupies a place of pride amongst the premier technical institutes of the western region of India. Established in the year 1983, financed and run by the Bansilal Ramnath Agrawal Charitable Trust, Pune. It is affiliated to the University of Pune. Within three decades, the institute marched towards the pinnacle of glory through its remarkable achievements and laurels in the field of engineering education of high caliber. According to Indian history, 'Vishwakarma' is a divine architect-engineer. It is believed that He fashioned this world with His rare engineering skills. The Trust adopted this name with a vision to develop engineers of high caliber, who could take up challenges of any type of engineering job and become successful in their chosen career. 
The campus spread over 6.5 acres of land, boasts of lush green lawns that provide an ambiance and a serene atmosphere of ancient Gurukuls far from the madding crowd. 
Vishwakarma Institute of Technology hereafter called, as ‘The Institute’ is one of the leading autonomous Institutes permanently affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. It was started in 1983 to impart quality technical education for the overall development of students and the latest need of Society in general and Industry in particular. 

• The Institute is running 9 undergraduate, 3 post-graduate & 3 Ph.D. The program is affiliated with the University of Pune.

APPLICATION PROCESS 2023

Candidates require to fill out the online application form for admission by logging in using their IDs which are specified when they are applying for the exam being directed for the course. The admission fee for various courses will be based on the VIT Pune fee structure.

• Candidates opting for admissions through JEE Main (Who possibly were not able to enroll in MHT-CET) will have to apply to make the payment through CAP under All India Seats or to be entitled to admission under institutional quota seats.
• It is required for First and Direct Second Year B.Tech candidates to buy an application kit from the nearest Facilitation Centre on payment in cash.
• After completing the application form, students have to verify the data filled out and correct it if required. The candidate shall take a printout of the form and sign it.
• Authorization of Online Application Form and document verification should be done personally by the applicant at Facilitation Centre.

• Step 1: Fill out the Application form online through the official website of DTE, Maharashtra.
• Step 2: Payment of the Application form can be made online through Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
• Step 3: For general category candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates, and NRI/ Foreign Nationals/ PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries, candidates' application form fees is INR 1000.
