Introduction of AMC MET Nursing
The AMC MET College of Nursing is established by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Medical Education Trust with an objective to promote nursing education and to provide best possible nursing care and services to the citizens of Ahmedabad and Gujarat State.

The School of Nursing was founded in 1932 and run General Nursing and Midwifery course with intake of 100 students. It has started Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course in the year 2015 with intake of 50 students. This nursing college is affiliate with Gujarat University and INC (Indian Nursing Council) and GNC (Gujarat Nursing Council) have granted permission to run the Basic B.Sc. Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery course. At present 200 students are studying in Basic B.Sc. Nursing and 300 Students are studying in GNM course.

AMC MET Nursing College is aimed to provide a qualitative nursing education with advance knowledge and skills and to make professional nurse who will be responsible for quality care and nations prosperity with a humanistic approach and maintain a high standard of professional care at all times to meet the needs of changing society through continuing education, research and contribution to professional growth.
These nursing programs (B. Sc. Nursing and GNM) contains basic subjects like Human Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Nursing Foundation,  Nutrition, Bio-chemistry, Psychology,  English,  medical-surgical nursing (Adult including geriatric), Pharmacology, pathology and Genetics, Community health Nursing, Communication and educational Technology, sociology, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, Nursing Research & Statistics and Management of Nursing Services and education  which help to enable students come out as a professional Nurse. These courses also help the students to develop their skills, knowledge, and understanding in the field of research, administration and education.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities like classroom with LCD projectors, Nursing foundation lab, Pre-clinical science lab, Community health nursing Lab, Nutrition lab, Obstetric and pediatric lab, Computer lab, Auditorium, Conference room, Library etc.

Sheth V.S. hospital is the teaching hospital attached to the college which is 1155 bedded hospital having all the Departments e.g. Medicine & allied, Surgery & allied, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, plastic surgery etc. There is ample clinical material and requisite facilities for clinical learning for the students. It has got facility for emergency care and intensive care of the patients in form of Medical ICU, Pediatric ICU, Surgical ICU and Neonatal ICU, State of art operation theatres, well-equipped Radiology & Clinical Laboratory departments. The hospital also runs center for providing family welfare services, Suraksha clinic (for STI and HIV/AIDS cases), ICTC and PPTCT center.
