The Nursing college offers courses like A.N.M, G.N.M, B.Sc.(N)& certificate courses in emergency cum ambulance attendant, operation theatre attendant, hospital & home based care attendant & home based care helper that will serve the community and provides experience that helps to upgrade the profession and improve professional growth. The class room are fully ventilated airy, spacious with natural light for whole of the day. Our college has multi-specialty hospital with modernized and highly equipped and highly professionalized clinical team. The college is also equipped with laboratory facilities as per the norms and also has library facilities with books, journals & internet facilities that cater the needs of the students.

It is indeed a pleasure for me to converse with you through this portal. Amritsar Group of Institutes is different from the rest in its approach to Health care Centre and in its pedagogies. ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) 2 Years Course:-

This is diploma course in the field of medical nursing. This course is preparing students in health related jobs like care of equipment, setting up operation theater, provide medication timely to patient, maintain records and train the students to work as basic health workers and help the whole community people in providing healthcare and work on their rehabilitation. This course has its importance because of the need for people to have knowledge in the nursing profession. This course is available in both part-time as well as full-time. It is the right career choice for candidates who determined who have skills like flexibility and observation skills which are crucial to good nursing.

GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) 3 Years Course:-

General Nursing and midwifery or GNM is a three year diploma course designed for aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing. General nursing and midwifery course is a 3 year diploma course in the domain of paramedics. General nursing and midwifery is geared to the health needs of the individual, family, community. The program teaches candidates how to care for individual who are sick or have been injured in order to help them attain full recovery GNM course are designed to prepare the students for the clinical approach of handling patients.

SCOPE OF GNM

• The main aim of GNM to prepare nurses to function as efficient members of the health team beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.

ELEGIBILITY CRITERIA

• 10+2 (Any Stream) with 40% Mark’s and 35% for SC/ST candidates.

B.Sc (Nursing) 4 Years Course:-

The goal of the graduate nursing programme is to provide education and sound training in the field of nursing with an emphasis on preparing student nurses to meet the basic health of the community people as well as to meet the requirements of emerging hospital/nursing homes and teaching institutions.
B.Sc nurses are trained healthcare professional who are capable of taking care of patient, treating them and assistant doctors in treatment and surgery. Every nurse was drawn to nursing because of a desire to care, to serve and to help.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

• 10+2 medical stream with 45% aggregate marks and must clear the PPMET examination conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 Year):-

The goal of this programme is to provide education and competency in the field of nursing training with an emphasis on promotion of health care delivery system of the country with qualitative skills in communication and interpersonal relationship, attaining leadership qualities and decision-making abilities as to meet the requirements of emerging hospitals/nursing homes. Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is a 2 year undergraduate program pursued for candidate interested in the field of nursing. A qualified R.N is capable of administering preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services to patients and communities at large.
