Introduction

Ashwini School of Nursing is promoted by Ashwini Hospital, a Unit of Cuttack Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. Is situated at CDA Cuttack. Ashwini Hospital is one of the premier super specialty tertiary care hospitals of the state. The hospital is the realization dream of Dr. Subrat Jena the renowned Plastic and Trauma Surgeon and Dr. Maya Gantayet the famous neurologist in the country. The couple has vast experience in the health care sector which helped them to run this profitable entity. Ashwini Hospital has commenced its health care services eight years back in 2006 and it has been running in full swing since its first year of operation. The hospital has major super specialty departments like Cardiology & CTVS, Neurology & Neuro Surgery, Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery, Orthopaedics & Trauma care. Besides broad disciplines like General Surgeries and General Medicines departments are also available. The hospital has latest equipments like high end cathlab, 128 Slice CT Scan, MRI etc. The hospital has 50 ICU beds with advanced critical care equipments and 4 new modular operation theatres to provide best health care to the people.
Ashwini School of Nursing offers Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. The school is approved by Health and Family welfare department, Govt. of Odisha vide it’s letter no. – ME/II/No/30/2013/34494/H dated 17.12.2013 and recognized by Odisha Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council vide file No. 02/June/2014 dated 14.06.2014 having sanctioned seat capacity of 40 (forty). 50% of the seats to be filled up through counseling as state quota.

• The school has it’s own infrastructure in an independent campus with well equipped class rooms, labs, library and experienced full time nursing faculties. Many of the Super Specialists, Doctors from Ashwini Hospital as well as SCB will be invited to impart training to the nursing students. In addition to above, soft skill training, spoken English and Computer training with hospital information system training will be provided to the students.
