ABOUT AINE

AINE (Asian Institute of Nursing Education), the first private Nursing Institute in North East India  established By Dr Unmona Borgohain Saikia in 2004 with  B.Sc Nursing Course under INS trust , recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Assam Nursing Council  and affiliated to  SNDT Women’s University (5 star NAAC accredited). SNDT is the first Women’s University in India and having All India Jurisdiction for affiliation. In 2009 M.Sc Nursing course started and subsequently in 2011 the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course was started under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam. The Institute is rated as best Nursing College in North East India.
Dr Unmona borgohain is a Graduated from Regional Nursing College Guwahati, after that she worked as Tutor and then as Staff Nurse at Diphu Civil Hospital. Post graduated from SNDT Womens’ University Mumbai. After her post graduation she joined in GNRC Hospitals. Subsequently She completed her Ph. D from Gauhati University, Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Hospital Management from New Delhi and M.Sc. in Psychotherapy and counselling from IPMS Mumbai. She is certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9000:2000 by BSI. Dr Borgohain has initiated the culture of in-service education to Nursing at Assam.
Dream of  Dr Unmona  Borgohain , establishing a Nursing Institute with Quality Nursing Education came into reality due to few of great personalities of Assam, most importantly Dr N.C. Borah Managing Trustee INS Trust his inspiring  vision , support and efforts in all round and an excellent platform of GNRC Hospital where AINE could make it Identity, Shri Jatin Hazarika Senior IAS who is equally supported and guided and Dr N. K. Chaudhury Former Vice Chancellor channelized and given all necessary Guidance for establishing the Institute

The rich multicultural academic environment of the institute is a testimony of the unified but diverse cultures of India and particularly the North East States. We have students from entire North east states also we have students from, Kerela, West Bengal and even from Nepal which are a boost to the transcultural concept practiced by the Institute.  The student of the institute who is best in the annual University examination awarded with Academic award with Rs 25000 and a certificate.

OBJECTIVES

Course offered:-

B. SC. NURSING PROGRAMME

The Bachelor of Science (Nursing) is an undergraduate degree programme of 4 years duration leading to degree of Science in Nursing. It is expected that each graduate maintain a high quality of work in all aspects of Nursing.

DURATION

• Duration of the course shall be FOUR years.
• On completion of the course, students will be placed in multi-super specialty hospital, which is best in North-East for ONE year with good salaries, perks and all other facilities.

AIM OF THE COURSE

• The aim of the course is to prepare the students to function as responsible health team members with competencies for first level positions in the hospital, community and diverse arena of nursing practice.

POST BASIC B.SC. NURSING

(Affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, Assam)
The Post Basic Bachelor of Science (nursing) is an undergraduate degree programme leading to degree of Science in Nursing.

DURATION

• Duration of the course shall be TWO years.

• Nursing is a profession that not only develops the personality of an individual but also brings changes to the society. The aim of the course is to prepare the students to function as responsible health team members with competencies for first level positions in the hospital and the community.

M. SC. NURSING PROGRAMME

Modern nursing is a dynamic, therapeutic and educative process in meeting the health needs of individuals, the family and the community. It includes both independent and collaborative functioning with the interdisciplinary health care team. Since Nurses provide and will undoubtedly continue to provide with unflinching commitment to a larger part of the health care, their training should equip them with professional expertise to meet the changing demands of society and their expanding role. So, Master of nursing will enrich the knowledge of a professional graduate to fulfill the societal needs and demands.

DURATION

• Duration of the course shall be TWO years.

ELLIGIBILITY

• a. Only women candidates are eligible to apply for the M.SC (N) programme.
• b. Candidate seeking admission shall have:

• Passed B.Sc.Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing of S.N.D.T Women’s University Mumbai, or any other university accepted as equivalent to SNDT Women’s University.
• Minimum of one years of experience after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), in a hospital or in Nursing educational institution or in community health setting. For candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing degree no such experience is needed after graduation.
• Registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
• Candidates in service should apply through proper channel.

Student who takes admission for the first time to the S.N.D.T Women’s University shall have to fill in the eligibility from on admission with a fee. All admission is provisional till the eligibility is approved by the university.
The following original certificates together with the attested copies should be submitted with the eligibility form.

1. B.Sc(N) Degree or Pc. B.Sc(N) degree.
2. Marksheet of the B .Sc(N) Degree or Pc. B.Sc(N) degree exam.
3. Migration certificate from the University.
