About the College

OVERVIEW
Bharat Institute of Nursing is operated and run by Rastogi Education Society, registered under Chhattisgarh Society Registration Act. 1973 (44) on 05-11-2006 as a non-profit organization. Presently we have 4 independent campuses based in Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari and Balod in Chhattisgarh. Every College has well equipped Laboratories, Auditoriums, Library, Staff Rooms, Class Rooms with over head projectors, Audio-Visual, with well qualified and experienced teaching and non-teaching fraternity.
The Balod college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and affiliated to Chhattisgarh Ayush & Health Science University, Raipur and C.G. State Nursing Council, Raipur. Further affiliations include Government District Hospital (Balod), Saheed Hospital (Dalli), Sanjeevani (Dalli), Sagar Hospital (Balod) and several other hospitals for Clinical Training of the students. For Rural and Urban Community Training, it is affiliated with CHC, Balod and Chikhalkasa.
The college have well furnished separate Hostels for girls and boys with facilities for recreational activities. The College has its own Transport Facilities for students.

PHILOSOPHY

• Nursing is a profession focused on helping the community in achieving and maintaining optimal health for its components, i.e., persons, families groups of all ages sick are well in all conditions. It is a life-long service to people.
• Bharat Institute of Nursing believes in transforming the students into professional nurses with deep sense of responsibility, dedication, hard-work, sincerity and compassion for the cause of humanity. It aims at development of the profession in tune with changing in medical science and reaching the aspiration of the community, health care profession with high levels of standards.

OBJECTIVE

• To provide Nursing care based on steps of Nursing process in collaboration with the individuals and groups. To demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situations to provide quality care in clinical and community health settings. To promote deeper study of Nursing problems encountered in nursing and health arena.
• To demonstrate understanding of life style and other factors, which affect health of individuals and groups. To upgrade socio-economic conditions of females and to make them self-reliant.

INSPIRATION

• To the spirit of Miss. Florence Nightingale, the patron saint of all nurses. She was born in May 12, 1820 at Florence, Italy and died on Aug. 13, 1910 at London, England. Miss. Florence, Pioneer of Modern Nursing, lady with the lamp for nursing. Let us watch her step and obey all rules and regulations being a nurse.

We are constantly striving to further develop our facilities to a full fledged academic complex with multifarious activities under the aegis of Rastogi Education Society.

Nursing, a profession that recalls the name of Florence Nightingale is indeed one of the noblest professions in the world. Precisely, our institute has a strong team of faculties & staffs for career guidance to the aspirants.

Admission Criteria

B.Sc. - Nursing

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31 December of the year of admission.
The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 year course) or Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), Pre-degree Examination (10+2) or an equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE) for general candidate & for SC, ST & OBC candidate 40% aggregate marks (PCBE).

Candidate shall be medically fit.

Admission Procedure

The last date if issuing of application form will be notified in course of time. Application Form with Prospectus can be collected from Bharat Institute of Nursing, Balod Campus by submitting a Bank Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Bharat Institute of Nursing, Balod or by Cash.
In case of out-station students a Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- should be sent for postal delivery.
The Application duly filled in along with all attested photo copies of the documents must reach the office of the Principal well in time before the last date to be notified.
The following attested documents should be attached with the Application :

• The Mark Sheet of qualifying examination i.e., 10+2.
• Transfer Certificate from the Institution where the candidate studied last in original.
• Birth Certificate.
• Migration Certificate.
• 20 Copies of recent passport size photographs.
• Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Officer.
• The candidate shall deposit full amount of prescribed fees.
• No fee other than the Caution Money is refundable under any circumstances.
