About the College

OVERVIEW
The board members of Rastogi Group, keeping in mind the enquiries from the career seekers in and around Korba district of Chhattisgarh,started this institute in the year 2014-15 with the intake capacity of 30 seats in B.Sc. nursing. The students coming from the adjoinin region got more options in dealing with the career making.
The intention of the Rastogi Group is to serve this career seeking students and the community. This is the very first year of this institute but the experience in nursing education of the group hold good strength with excellent staff and faculties. The group is committed for imparting the medical skills to the young aspirants for their better career and healthy living.

PHILOSOPHY

• Nursing is a profession focused on helping the community in achieving and maintaining optimal health for its components, i.e., persons, families groups of all ages sick are well in all conditions. It is a life-long service to people.
• Bharat Institute of Nursing believes in transforming the students into professional nurses with deep sense of responsibility, dedication, hard-work, sincerity and compassion for the cause of humanity. It aims at development of the profession in tune with changing in medical science and reaching the aspiration of the community, health care profession with high levels of standards.

OBJECTIVE

• To provide Nursing care based on steps of Nursing process in collaboration with the individuals and groups. To demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situations to provide quality care in clinical and community health settings. To promote deeper study of Nursing problems encountered in nursing and health arena.
• To demonstrate understanding of life style and other factors, which affect health of individuals and groups. To upgrade socio-economic conditions of females and to make them self-reliant.

INSPIRATION

• To the spirit of Miss. Florence Nightingale, the patron saint of all nurses. She was born in May 12, 1820 at Florence, Italy and died on Aug. 13, 1910 at London, England. Miss. Florence, Pioneer of Modern Nursing, lady with the lamp for nursing. Let us watch her step and obey all rules and regulations being a nurse.

Admission Criteria

B.Sc. - Nursing

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31 December of the year of admission.

The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 year course) or Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), Pre-degree Examination (10+2) or an equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE) for general candidate & for SC, ST & OBC candidate 40% aggregate marks (PCBE).

Candidate shall be medically fit.

Admission Procedure

The last date if issuing of application form will be notified in course of time. Application Form with Prospectus can be collected from Bharat Institute of Nursing, Korba Campus by submitting a Bank Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Bharat Institute of Nursing, Korba or by Cash.

In case of out-station students a Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- should be sent for postal delivery.

The Application duly filled in along with all attested photo copies of the documents must reach the office of the Principal well in time before the last date to be notified.

The following attested documents should be attached with the Application :

• The Mark Sheet of qualifying examination i.e., 10+2.
• Transfer Certificate from the Institution where the candidate studied last in original.
• Birth Certificate.
• Migration Certificate.
• 20 Copies of recent passport size photographs.
• Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Officer.
• The candidate shall deposit full amount of prescribed fees.
• No fee other than the Caution Money is refundable under any circumstances.
