Course

Bharathi College of Nursing conducts General Nursing and Midwifery Course, of three years duration.

• DURATION : 3 Years
• ELIGIBILITY : Pass in HSC/PUC/+2 with 40% aggregate
• COURSE COMMENCEMENT : October
• TOTAL INTAKE : 60 Seats
• MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : English

Educational Objectives

At the end of three years of study, the student is expected to :

• Have the aptitude, knowledge and skill necessary for assessing nursing needs of the individuals throughout the life-cycle, families and communities.
• Apply relevant knowledge from biological and behavioural sciences in planning and carrying out safe nursing care activities.
• Co-operate with other members of the health team in the hospital or in the community in prevention of disease, promotion of health, restoration of health and rehabilitation.
• Impart health knowledge to individuals and groups through health education.
• Demonstrate skill in the use of problem solving methods in nursing practice.
• Demonstrate ability to supervise and guide auxiliary personnel who are part of the nursing team.
• Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to professional behaviour.
• Carry out the above in the true spirit of service to fellowmen and be committed to the welfare of our country.

Placement

Our Own Multispeciality Hospital provides opportunity for students to pursue their careers after successful completion of their courses. Our Institution also has a placement in other reputed hospitals and conducts regular training, written tests, group discussion and pre placement advisory services to improve the interview skills & efficiency of our students.

We have various hospitals in and beyond Bangalore who conduct campus interviews for the students. There is 90-100% placement for all our Nursing students. Many of our students have been appointed and working in well reputed hospitals, Health Care Centers and Institutions in India and Abroad & many more…

Facilities

Lecture Halls

Lecture halls with proper seating capacities. All lecture halls are quite spacious. The lecture halls of the institute is fully equipped with audio visual aids such as LCD, OHP, Slides, Models, Charts etc.

Library

Pertaining to the academic syllabus prescribed by the affiliated authorities all types of books are available for the students reference. And also journals, news papers are subscribed to support the students periodically. The Library, has a wealth of books, periodicals and journals to its credit. Students are allotted library hours for self study and research purpose.

Laboratory

The laboratories are completely equipped with items required as per in Norms. All the laboratories are constructed with compatibility and adequate space to accommodate students during their practical hours. Mannequins of international standards with digital technology is used. All instruments are made available for hands on experience of students in individual labs.

Hostel

The Institute recognizes that a major concern to all students is the availability and quality of accommodation, thus institute has arranged separate hostel for Boys and Girls students. Separate hostels are maintained for both girls and boys with full-time warden and security personnel, telephone facility, are provided in each floor.

Transportation Facility

The institution backed with its own transportation facility for the students to support during their academic courses. A fleet of comfortable & safe transport is being provided for all the students. The students are sent to various clinical settings near and far through the well managed transport system.

Sports

The Institution is having both indoor as well as the outdoor sports and recreational facilities for the students. The required infrastructure and support shall be provided to the students to encourage them in the interested areas of skills and sports. The college has extensive sports facilities for many sports right from volleyball, basketball, and badminton to football and the all–time–favourite cricket.
