Bharti Group Of Colleges is running under “Shri Jug Mahadev Education Society (SJMES), Durg” was established in the year 1997 to commemorate late “SHRI JUG MAHADEV JI CHANDRAKAR”. Shri Jug Mahadev Education Society was founded with the objective of creating world class, high quality education facilities at Durg – Bhilai, the commercial capital of Chhattisgarh.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

“ A life not lived for others is not a life…. ”
The National Service Scheme is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhi Ji’s Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student’s personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage.
The programme aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity.
In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.

Annual Festival Srijan

SRIJAN is an effort to enthuse the spirit of technical and cultural exuberance amongst youth. It’s a common platform wherein students can showcase their talents and visions. SRIJAN encompasses a wide range of events covering all the areas of interest of the youth of this part of the nation, and the variety of events is something we have always been proud of.
From science and technology to entertainment, from information technology to literature pursuits, all the events at SRIJAN have constantly set new benchmarks of excellence in organization and participation.
We are back with yet another season of Srijan…. the cultural college fest of Bharti Group of Colleges, Durg. A fest which is recognized as one of the most magnificent events ever happened in Chhattisgarh State. Empowering latent talents and putting one’s caliber at test on a national platform, it encompasses the wide and diverse spectra of events which will aid the nourishment of one’s forte. Our distinguished faculty, motivated students, dedicated staff, and engaged community partners share a common goal – achieving health equity of the global community through Academic Nursing, academic-practice partnerships, engaged and interdisciplinary  research, rigorous scientific inquiries, and community impacts.

Course offered:-

BSC NURSING

The B.Sc. nursing degree program is a four-year fulltime program comprising eight semesters, which prepares B.Sc.
nursing graduates qualified to practice nursing and midwifery in a variety of settings in either public/government or private healthcare settings. It adopts credit system and semester system as per the Authority guidelines with minor modifications suitable to professional education in a hybrid form. The program encompasses foundational, core and elective courses. The choice-based system is applicable to electives only and is offered in the form of modules. Modular learning is also integrated in the foundational as well as core courses that is mandatory.
The program prepares nurses and midwives for generalist nursing including midwifery practice. Knowledge acquisition related to wellness, health promotion, illness, disease management and care of the dying is core to nursing practice. Mastery of competencies is the main focus. Students are provided with opportunities to learn a whole range of skills in addition to acquiring knowledge related to nursing practice (nursing and midwifery). This is achieved through learning in skill lab/simulated lab and clinical environment. Simulation will be integrated throughout the curriculum wherever feasible to enable them to develop competencies before entry into real field of practice.
The revised curriculum embraces competency-based and outcome-based approach throughout the program integrating mastery learning and self-directed learning. Transformational and relationship based educational approaches are emphasized. Through the educational process the students assimilate and synthesize knowledge, cultivate critical thinking skills and develop care strategies. Competencies that reflect practice standards of the Council address the areas of cultural diversity, communication technology, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality, therapeutic interventions and evidencebased practice. They are prepared to provide safe and competent care to patients across life span and influence patient outcomes.

Admission:-

ADMISSION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The
maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
2. Minimum Educational Qualification
a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have
obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English
individually.
b) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of
Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
c) English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
3. Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such
candidates.
4. Candidate shall be medically fit.
5. Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
6. Students shall be admitted once in a year.
7. Selection of candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination. Entrance test** shall comprise of:
a) Aptitude for Nursing 20 marks
b) Physics 20 marks
c) Chemistry 20 marks
d) Biology 20 marks

e) English 20 marks
Minimum qualifying marks for entrance test shall be 50% marks.
**Entrance test shall be conducted by University/State Government
