About the College
The Nursing Profession is one of the noblest professions as it nourishes, cherishes, protects and supports the patient during hospitalization and thereby provide significant service to society. During World War-II Florence Nightingale emphasized the grooming of nurses for the management of sick, prevention of diseases and consequently promotion of health in a given community.
The Nursing is therefore both, science and art, that requires a sound scientific education. Besides this, nursing is a service to humanity, devoted as it helps curing the patients by applying scientific knowledge and skill during their studies. A professional nurse is a graduate of a recognized Nursing College; who has registered with State Nursing Council, which is license to practice.
Nursing Philosophy
Nursing is a systematic, deliberate process directed towards assisting and group in promoting, maintaining and restoring maximum health potential and supporting the dignity of the individual in life. This process is based upon the combination if scientific knowledge and skills that consists of action that is independent but coordinated with other health care programs.
Concept of nursing is based on Indian Nursing Council’s definition which states that “the unique function of the nurse is to assist the individual, sick or well in the performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to peaceful death) that he would perform unaided, had the necessary strength, will or knowledge, and to this, in such a way has help him gain independence as rapidly as possible.
The faculty of Nursing College pursue in belief that the basic course in nursing must necessarily be laid on sound medical and scientific foundation. Further the faculty of Nursing College believes:
- That learning occurs not only in class room, but in the pee group and through participation in wide variety of extracurricular activities in different fields.
- That Nursing is a profession, which is influenced by advances in Science and Technology.
- That skill in all aspects of communication is essential for learning and for the practice of nursing.
- That the nature of nursing education is such that substantial portion of students learning is acquired in clinical area.
- That interdependence of Nursing with allied profession and occupation are necessary for promoting, maintaining and restoring health.
- That the newly inducted person entering this pioneering profession must be guided for their brilliant career in nursing so that they may prove efficient in imparting services.
Aims & Objectives
The general aim of the BIMR NURSING COLLEGE is to prepared the nursing profession to assume responsibilities in preventive and curative care of the people, or well and to act as professional nurses. They are pre pared to assume first level position in all areas of health and are expected to participate n teaching and managerial function as well.
The specific objectives are follows :-
- To prepare nursing graduate to assume responsibility in preventive, curative and rehabilitative care of patient in hospital and community level.
- To meet the requirements of dedicated nurses for “BIMR HOSPITAL, GWALIOR”.
- To meet the acute shortage of qualified nursing personnel in the M.P.
- To promote and strengthen the nursing skill.
- To produce nurse administrators and educators in the hospital.
- To provide qualify nurses to the country to cope with advancement in medical science and technology.

Eligibility :-
- Minimum education:- 10+2 class passes or its equivalent preferable with science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 50% marks. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st Dece of the year). The upper age limits is 35 years.

Eligibility :-
- The minimum educational qualification admission in B.Sc. (N) shall be 10+2 of CBSE or State Govt. curriculum with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or any other exam equivalent 10+2 from a recognized Examination Board.
- The minimum requirements of marks for admission will be 55% in 10+2 is compulsory for B.Sc. Nursing.
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Elibility & Fee Structure
Eligibility :-
- The candidate should be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing in an institutions which is recognized by INC. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Candidate should be medically fit.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidate may be given.
