About Us

The Chief Khalsa Diwan is the oldest and respectable socio-religious organization of the Sikhs, established in 1902; it has made commendable contribution in promoting Sikh culture and served the nation and community in the field of education. From times immemorial voluntary efforts have won the respect of people. Education institutions have always been attached to churches; Hindu, Sikh and Muslim prayer houses and voluntary organizations. Chief Khalsa Diwan has established 45 educational institutions, one chief Khalsa Orphan age, old age homes, many free charitable hospitals, dispensary and physiotherapy centre. A resolution was passed to establish a nursing college by Chief Khalsa Diwan international Nursing College to expand and extend the services of the Diwan.
CKD International Nursing College is located at Chabal Road near railway crossing in 3 acres land. It has spacious building, play-grounds, well-equipped libraries and laboratories and is provided with modern techniques of audio-visual aids. The staff is well qualified and experienced. The focus is on the over-all development of the students to seek their brilliant and bright future.
NOC from Punjab Govt was obtained in 2010. First batch ANM & Post Basic B.sc nursing were started in 2012. Two Courses B.Sc Nursing and GNM were added to the list in 2013. At present institution is successfully running all nursing courses under the guidance and supervision of S. Nirmal singh Ji (President CKD), Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar Ji (Chairman), S. Rabinderbir Singh Bhalla Ji, Dr. Amarjeet Singh Nagpal Ji and Dr. Amarjit Singh Sachdeva Ji (Members Incharge). This college is established by their untiring efforts. The college was inaugurated by present Mayor Shri Bakhshi Ram Arora ji on 25-9-2012 along with deputy mayors.
