Who we are
Dispur Nursing Institute is one of the premier institute of the state of Assam situated at Guwahati city in a peaceful atmosphere for learning and assimilation. The campus provides all basic amenities and facilities and is easily approachable by road transport. The building has ample of space, natural light and ventilation. We are already providing courses that is continuously improving and focusing on new ideas and skills of paramedical and nursing education. We provide conceptual knowledge through highly qualified and experienced faculty, rich and updated library and practical knowledge in well equipped and furnished laboratories. We feel pride to mention that the pass percentage of our institute is 100% for last two years.
Dispur Nursing Institute’s parent hospital namely Dispur Hospital Pvt. Ltd. is one of the pioneer hospital of north eastern state situated at Guwahati, Dispur Hospital is an ISO 9001:2008 certified hospital with 200 beds and all other modern & sophisticated facilities.

Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam
Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, Assam, India has established in 2009 as per Act "The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Act, 2007". The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences is the only Health University in the North Eastern Region with its jurisdiction to the whole of Assam. At present it has 23 affiliated colleges under this university.
The Mission of the University shall be to create, uphold and develop an intellectual, philosophical, academic and physical environment which shall be conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information amongst various Faculties of the University, and to develop collaborative as well as autonomous institutions or research and higher learning, between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences, and other centres of excellence in the country and abroad.

Objectives
Nursing education is considered to be the key to producing quality products and thereby provide quality nursing service who utilizes knowledge, skill education and positive attitude developed during their training period. The expanded nurses training programme is expected to enhance the standard of nursing.
- To produce maximum number of nurses having quality is considered essential to meet the requirement of nurses under various projects. undertake by the state government and health programme sponsored by the government of India and for health institution established by private and voluntary organization.
- To offer a well planned and well supervised teaching and clinical training programme, the student will be enabled and empowered to utilize the latest technological innovations to provide quality health care .
- To be able to supervise and manage health programmes and to undertake teaching / training assignments in different settings.

AUXILIARY NURSING MIDWIFERY(ANM)
Eligibility for Admission
- The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of 12 years of schooling (10+2) courses recognized by CBSE /lC$E/AHSEC or a recognized equivalent examination .
- Minimum age for admission will be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximium age for admission shall be 30 years.
- Students should be medically fit.
Duration of Course
- The duration of certified study for the ANM course is 2 years including integrated practice.

GENERAL NURSING MIDWIFERY(GNM)
Eligibility for Admission
1) 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidate are also eligible from state open school recognized by state government and national institute of open school recognized by central government however science is preferable
2)Registered ANM with pass mark.
- Two seats will be reserved for Candidate coming from BPL who will be provided free education fulfilling other eligibility criteria on the basis of merit.
- Admission of students shall be once in a year.
- Students shall be medically fit.
- Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year). The upper age limit is 35 years for GNM .
- 5% of total marks relaxed for SC/ST candidate.
Duration of course
- The duration of certified study for the GNM course is 3 years including integrated practice.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( B.Sc. Nursing )
Eligibility for Admission
- Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.Sc., Degree course in Nursing (Basic) should have passed the qualifying examinations of higher secondary school certificate examination (12 years course). Or an equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (physics, chemistry, biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE)
- One seat will be reserved for Candidate coming from BPL who will be provided free education fulfilling other eligibility criteria on the basis of merit.
- Candidate shall be medically fit. I Admission of students shall be once in a year
- Minimum age for admission will be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- 5% of total marks relaxed for SC/ST candidate.
Duration of course
- The duration of B.Sc. Degree course in Nursing is four academic years including integrated practice (Internship 24 weeks).
