History

Established in 1986 by Anand Social and Educational Trust and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences, MR Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital is considered to be one of the best Dental Colleges in Karnataka. The college was established with a view to not only establish high standards in Oral Health Science in the country but also to take Oral Health Care to the doorsteps of the underprivileged population of the country. The vision of Ambedkar Dental College Bangalore is to train a community of competent academicians, clinicians as well as researchers.

ANANDA SOCIAL & EDUCATIONAL TRUST ®

“Ananda Social & Educational Trust” is a registered Charitable Trust established in the year 1980. The Trust and its institutions are un-aided by any Government / Agencies. The Trust was started by a group of (S.C) Minority Community people, which is the First in its kind for starting up Professional Colleges by Scheduled Caste people.

The Trust started the educational institutions with the aim of providing quality professional education in the stream of Medical, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy and other Diploma Courses pertaining to health care education to the aspiring students of financially weaker section of the community / society.

All the institutions are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and Recognized by the concerned Government Bodies & Apex Bodies / Govt. of India.

The college & hospital campus of Medical, Nursing and Physiotherapy are situated in a 27.5 acres of land at # 24, Kadugondanahalli, Shampura Main Road, Bangalore-560 045 and consists of 650 bedded hospital.

The M. R. Ambedkar Dental College & Hospital is located at # 1/36, Cline Road, Cooke Town, Bangalore- 560 005, which is a teaching hospital.

All the colleges and hospitals are well equipped with good infrastructural facilities, Auditorium, Audio-Visual Rooms, Laboratories, Major / Minor Operation Theatres, O.P.D / I.P.D Blocks, Super Speciality Hospital, Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls exclusively for UG and PG students separately for each institutions within the campus, transportation facilities etc., as per the norms of the respective Government and Apex Bodies.

The attached Hospital facilities are also provided with an intention of providing clinical training to the students admitted to the college in all streams and to provide health care facilities to the downtrodden community of the society.

The Medical and Dental Hospitals are empanelled with Employees State Insurance Corporation (E.S.I.C tie-up) and Government of Karnataka’s Danta Bhagya Yojana Scheme for providing health care services referred through the aforesaid schemes.
