ENLIGHT GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2000 initially at Rajajinagar, Bangalore in one building. With 4 hostels, 3 for Girls and 1 for boys at Magadi Road, 17th Cross, 2nd Phase, Bharatha Nagar, Bangalore-560091. The Institution prime motto was to prepare the students M.Sc, B.Sc, PB B.Sc, & GNM Nursing to progress their studies with proper technical background to render the services to the humanity and contributed to health prosperity, to communicate and humanity.

In addition the management aims at an integral training of students, forming them into genine persons with relevant, skills value & attitudes to develops the global health conditions.

GENERAL NURSING MIDWIFERY

ABOUT GENERAL NURSING MIDWIFERY

GNM referred as General Nursing and Midwifery it deals with the education of nurses in general health care, nursing, and midwifery. It is a 3 years long Diploma program. The academic program is 3 years long and 6 months are dedicated towards internship. Internship is mandatory. This programme will boost you in career prospects. After completing this course, successful candidates may register themselves as a registered nurse or midwife with state nurse registration council.

DURATION OF STUDY

There will be two Examinations every year. One Annual examination in August and supplementary examination in February. Theory examination will be held in the identified centres and practical examination will be held in the clinical area of respective institutions. Examinations will be held both in the morning and the afternoon sessions.

ADMISSION FOR GNM

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

A Candidate seeking admission shall have:-

  • Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.
  • Minimum education:
    • 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 40% marks.
    • 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
    • 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board with 40% marks.
    • Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
