B. Sc Nursing

B.Sc. Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is an undergraduate Nursing course. Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so that they may attain, maintain, or recover to optimal health and lead quality life. During the course, it is taught to the nurses, how to work in a variety of specialties. They work independently and as part of a team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Nursing Science is a field of knowledge based on the contributions of a nursing scientist through peer-reviewed scholarly journals and evidenced-based practice. The duration of the course is four years, but it depends on the institute to institute as per their rules. The value of the course is immense and it is job orienting in nature.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.Sc., Degree course in Nursing (Basic) should have passed the qualifying examinations (Academic Stream) after period of 12 years of study with the following subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology. Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.

Pb B.Sc Nursing

B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) is a two-year duration undergraduate course in nursing. Nurses are healthcare professionals who often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities to provide hands-on care to patients by monitoring their medical condition, administering medications, maintaining records, and communicating with doctors.
In post basic B.Sc Nursing (also referred to as P.B.B.Sc), candidates are provided a holistic mixture of classroom lectures and hands-on training. Admission to the course is usually done on the bas is of candidates’ performance in the written entrance exam conducted at university/ institute level. However, some institutions also provide direct admission to candidates on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. Candidates should clear Class 12th from a recognised board preferably in Science stream.
2. Candidates should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).
3. Candidates should possess a three-year diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) .
4. Candidates should have minimum two years of experience in the profession (after registration as RNRM).
5. Male candidates who have not done midwifery in GNM should possess a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.

M.Sc. Nursing

M.Sc. Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing is a postgraduate Academic Nursing course. The Course deals with the healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from conception to death.
The duration of M.Sc. in Nursing is mostly of two academic years, but it varies from institute to institute. The University of Delhi is providing in two years on a full-time basis. The minimum time to complete the course is also two years. The Course is available both in full time and a part-time basis.

Eligibility:
Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing Degree of this University or any other University accepted as equivalent there to. Should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing In case of male candidates they should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in place of Midwifery. Those who have studied Midwifery are eligible for admission to Branch III and IV. Every candidate before admission to this course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the Academic Programme.
