About Us
Holy Cross College of Nursing is one of the premier institutions of Higher Education in Nursing in Chhattisgarh, managed by Pavitra Cruz Sisters Association - Ambikapur. It began with the idea of providing higher education in the field of nursing, particularly for the girls of the tribal belt of Chhattisgarh and surrounding states.
Our college is considered as one of the best Colleges of Nursing in the state, having highly committed staff and furnished and equipped well with labs, class rooms, auditorium, conference hall, variety of A.V Aid equipments and other facilities such as internet facility for staff and students, hostel for girls and mess service etc.

Library
- A thesis is an important part of nursing graduate students' education, which is also their first systematic and scientific attempt to learn the ABCs of research. Articles derived from theses are important for the dissemination of science and the improvement of nursing as a field.
Course Offered:-
B.Sc. NURSING
B.Sc Nursing program is aimed at preparing graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurse and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. It prepares the nurse to make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. Duration of the course is 4 years. :-
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.Sc NURSING COURSE
Age :
- Every candidate seeking admission must have attained the age of 17 years and st must not be older than 35 years as on 31 December of the year of seeking admission in Bachelor of Nursing.
Procedure for Selection :
- Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing shall be made by a centralized admission committee on the basis of merit of the candidates appearing in the entrance test. Students Must Enrolled to http://cgvyapam.choice.gov.in.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
Duration of the course shall be 2 years after completion of G.N.M program
Course Discription
- The aim of the undergraduate Nursing program at the Post Basic level is to upgrade the diploma (G.N.M.) to prepare a competent nurse to provide care in all aspects as a teacher, supervisor & manager in a clinical/public health setting.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO POST BASIC B.Sc. NURSING COURSE
1. Academic Qualification
- Candidate seeking admission to Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing (Post Basic) must have passed the Intermediate of 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Science and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh-Raipur, Faridkot.
2. Professional Qualification :
- Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as RNRM with the State Nurses Registration Council. A nurse, trained before the implementation of new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurse Registration Council, shall produce evidence of having been trained in any one of the following requisite training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery.
Provided she/he produces a :
- Certificate of good moral character issued by the Principal of the college /school last attended.
- Medical fitness certificate
3. Procedure of Selection
- Admission to the Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing (Post Basic) will be made on the basis of merit of the candidate appearing in entrance test,Students Must Enrolled to http://cgvyapam.choice.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria/Admission Requirements:
1. Professional Qualification :
- The candidate must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
2. The minimum education requirement include the following :-
- B.Sc. Nursing
- B.Sc. Hons. Nursing
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. Candidate shall be medically fit.
4. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.

- Selection of the candidates should be based on the marks/merit of the entrance examination held by university or competent authority.
