Shri Gangajali Education Society (SGES), since its inception has witnessed unprecedented expansion by successfully adding more and more new professional courses which provide excellent career opportunities. Nursing is such a profession where one caters to the needs of the society for his lifetime. Lavishly spread over 17 acres of lush green and pollution free environment, JSCN has created a unique atmosphere of educational excellence in the capital city, Raipur. The college is merely 13 kms from the centre of the city (Ghadi Chowk) and just 3 kms from New Government Engineering College, Raipur. 

The campus is 10 kms away from Mana Airport and 14 kms from Raipur railway station. With the sacred blessings of Swami Swaroopananda Ji Maharaj, Jagadguru Shankaracharya College of Nursing was established in the year 2012 with approval from Indian Nursing Council (INC) New Delhi. It is recognized as one of the premier academic institutions in India. The college aims to provide best quality Nursing Education to its students and strives to inculcate the best of its cultural heritage in them. JSCN stands tall in public esteem and students from all parts of the country have grown up here and excelled in the chosen areas of their interests, be it academics, sports or extra-curricular activities. Education is an unending and ongoing process. One has to keep the mind within humanity to learn. Nursing is such a selfless profession where one needs to devote his whole life in it. In order to fulfill such prerequisites, we at Jagadguru Shankaracharya College of Nursing try to provide a distinguished environment, where one can spread the light of hope, dedication, vigilance and sacrifice. I convey my immense pleasure in welcoming the students to this esteemed institute, JSCN, Raipur. Just as the liquid takes the shape of the container, in the same way education flows into the body and takes the shape of man. Admission Process and Eligibility

 (As per the guidelines issued by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi & Chhattisgarh Nurses Registration Council, Chhattisgarh for B.Sc. Nursing and GNM respectively.)

How to Apply:

From the date of Admission Notification & Counseling by the Chhattisgarh State Nursing Council; Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained from the Head Office of Jagadguru Shankaracharya College of Nursing, Mujgahan, Raipur District.  The application form submitted should be complete in all respects. Self-attested copies with 3 sets of required certificates/documents have to be submitted along with the Original documents for counseling and verification process.

• Mark sheets of 10th, 12th
• Migration Certificate in original.
• C.G. Domicile
• Caste Certificate
• Gap Certificate, if applicable

Counseling:

• Candidates will be called for counseling process after the declaration of the CGPNT results tentatively during August-September every year. Seat allotment will be done on merit basis.

Fee:

• The Students must pay the complete fee in two installments i.e. 50% at the time of admission as a first Installment and remaining 50% by 31st December of the year as a second Installment.

Rules and Regulations:-

General Code of Conduct:

• Classes begin from 9:00 a.m. and continue up to 3:30 p.m. on all the working days.
• Students are advised to come to the Institute by 8:50 am to attend classes.
• As per the university rules 85% attendance is mandatory to appear in semester end examination.
• Students must adhere to the Dress Code of the Institute.
• Use of mobile phones in the classrooms, Library, labs, etc.is strictly prohibited.
• Every student must carry his / her Identity Card while entering the campus and identify himself with help of the Identity Card whenever asked for.
• No guests / visitors shall be allowed with the students in the class/lab/ library.
• Students must help keep the institute neat and clean and also preserve and maintain the greeneries. Eatables / beverages are not allowed inside the study areas including labs and library. Students should have their lunch box inside the canteen or class room.
• Smoking/Alcohol/any form of drugs is prohibited in the premises of the institute.
• Students must conserve electricity and water. They must switch off lights & fans when they leave the class room, laboratories.
• All the labs follow certain safety and academic norms for their smooth functioning. Students are advised to keep themselves updated on those norms and follow them accordingly.
• Any removable data storage device or hardware attachments for software operations cannot be taken in or out without written approval of the department in charge. A violation of this will be considered as an intention for piracy / theft.
• In case of medical emergency, the student must inform the faculty member / technical assistant without any hesitation.

Following activities shall be deemed as act of indiscipline:

• Disruption or improper interference with the academic, administrative, sporting, social or other activities of the institute, whether on institute premises or elsewhere
• Using abusive language and creating nuisance in the premises of this institute, disturbing the peace and independent rights of fellow students and faculty members;
• Fraud, deceit, deception, dishonesty or theft in relation to this institute or its staff
• Action likely to cause sexual or racial harassment of any student, member of staff or other employee of this institute or any authorized visitor of this institute;
• Damage to library books, resources and furniture like cupboards / lockers / file cabinets / walls /doors/ windows/ white board / tables / equipment / chairs etc. by way of writing names/painting/scribbling etc.
• Misuse or unauthorized use of the institute premises or items of property
• Being instrumental directly or indirectly for mass absenteeism or boycott of classes resulting in vitiating the atmosphere of the Institute;
