Kalinga Nursing School is the first private nursing school in Odisha which offers the qualitative nursing education. It is established and controlled by Kalinga Hospital Foundation (A trust registered under Indian trust act 1960) in the year 2004. The primary objective of the institute is to provide and promote qualitative education & research in the nursing field. The institute offered only GNM programme since 2004 but now it's running Bsc nursing programme too since 2019
Apart from academic programme, the institute conducts outreach area services in rural community of Odisha throughout the year. The institute provides a platform of educational excellence to its students as well to the faculties. Different staff development programmes are conducted from time to time for the welfare of faculties.
For the student welfare, the Vikash Educational Charitable Trust provides scholarship to the meritorious students (10 students/year), those who are from low economic background.
The students are privileged to practice in Kalinga Hospital Limited, Bhubaneswar, which is one of the pioneer private hospitals in Odisha. The hospital is well known for its excellent and qualitative patient care which mainly emphasizes on Intensive & Critical care services.
Last but not the least, the institute focuses on knowledge of facts as well the values.

To develop a centre for excellence in nursing which will provide quality educational programs which are evidence based and encourages innovations to improve care. To provide affordable education while equipping students with knowledge and skills in their chosen streams,inculcate values, identify hidden talents, provide opportunities for students to realize their full potential in patient care.

Director's Message
The KNS takes the credit of being the first Nursing School in Odisha, set up in the year 2004, by a private trust named “ Kalinga Hospital Foundation”. Since then the Institution has been maintaining optimum standards of Nursing Education prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council and at par with the other Government Nursing Schools in the state.
BSc. Nursing has been started in our college since the year 2019,first batch. Our future vision is to set up the “Kalinga Nursing College” in to an excellent, model Nursing Education Institution in the state as well as in the country, where Nurses with high professional standards and etiquettes in order to cater the health needs of health care system in the state as well as outside is prepared.
I am proud of my team who are dedicated and hard working. I believe strongly that each member in my team will work with full spirit and devotion in order to accomplish the mission of building a future Nursing College under the Kalinga hospital Foundation.
