Kangleipak Medical Nursing Institute Trust (KMNIT) is established in the year 1998. The institute is to impart expert coaching for aspiring student to Medical, Paramedical and Nursing which offers opportunity for self employment or employment in the private or public sector, Government and abroad.
The Trust is running two institutions namely Kangleipak Medical and Nursing Institute and Kangleipak Medical Paramedical and Nursing Institute.
The Institute has well equiped Laboratories with all facilities, spacious lecture halls, Instruments room and Library. The faculty members are well qualified and high standard of education maintained by the devoted staff members of this institution.

AIMS

• Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities of a professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, vurative, and rehabilitative services.
• Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the right of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community, nursing services, and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practise They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in a clinical / public health setting.

OBJECTIVES

• Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioural sciences, medicine including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
• Demonstrate understanding of lifestyle and other factors, which affect health of individuals and groups.
• Provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration and with the individuals and groups.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skill in making deciions in all situation in order to provide quality care.
• Practise with the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct, and acceptable standards of practise within the legal boundaries.
• COmmunicate effectively with individuals and groups and members of the health team in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Participate effectively as members of the health team in health care delivery system.

Philosophy

We believe that:
Health is a state of optimal functioning or well being. One's health includes physical, social, and mental component and is not merely the absence of disease or infernity. Health is a right of all the people, individuals, families and communities have a reponsibility to wards maintaining this health.
Health is an essential part of each of the other aims of nursing. Nursing play a vital role in the health care delivery systems. It aims at identifying health needs of the people, planning and providing optimum quality care with health professionals and community groups.
Scope of nursing practise encompasses provision of preventive, promotive, curative, restorative and rehabilitative aspectsof care to people across their life span in variety of health care settings.
Undergraduate nursing programs is broad based education within an academic framework specifically directed to the development of critical skills, competencies standards and quality assurance required for practise of professional nursing and midwifery.
Undergraduate nursing programs, the major in nursing is built on a general education base, with concentration on nursing at the upper levels students acquire knowledge of theory and practice related to nursing and other disciplines, providing nursing care to individuals and groups, work with members of the health care team, use research to improve practice and have a foundation for post graduate study.
