Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research (RINER) was established in 1987 by Late Founder Chairman, Sri. M S Ramaiah, a philanthropist and a great visionary. With over 30 years of legacy, the college offers various nursing programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A strong team of motivated faculty, passionate students and exceptional pedagogical approach coupled with advanced facilities and infrastructure make Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research one of the most acclaimed nursing education institution. The quality education offered at the college has prepared over 2500 graduates who are well placed globally and are contributing the best of their services.
The Ramaiah Group of Institutions was founded by Late Founder Chairman, Sri. M. S. Ramaiah. The group runs 29 institutions in Education and Healthcare which are housed on a 70-acre campus in the heart of Bengaluru city.
Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research, under the aegis of “Gokula Education Foundation”, was established in 1987. RINER is a constituent unit of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS)-A state private university and is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council of (INC).

Nursing Programmes

The undergraduate nursing programme provide the educational foundation to prepare the next generation of nursing professionals. The undergraduate nurses of our institution are preferred by the biggest of hospitals in India and are picked up by overseas recruiters as the students possess broad knowledge and efficient clinical skill in rendering patient care. The postgraduates are well equipped to take up leadership and administrative roles.

INDUSTRY TIE-UPS

• We conduct need based short courses for the nurses working in our parent hospital and other hospitals regularly. In 2019, we conducted a capacity building programme for 19 nurses working with TATA coffee estates of Coorg and Haasan districts of Karnataka

INTERNATIONAL TIE-UPS

• We have signed an MOU with Montana State University, USA to conduct student and faculty exchange programmes. We are also looking forward for research collaboration with our international partners.

General Nursing & Midwifery

• Duration 3 years

Eligibility criteria for GNM

• 10 +2 with any group, preferably science
• Minimum percentage of marks in plus two – 60%
• Minimum age- 17 years, Maximum age limit -35 years
• Medically Fit and Mentally Sound
• Good character and conduct

B.Sc. Nursing

• Intake - 100 Seats (60 University Seats +40 Government Seats)
• Duration 4 years
  RINER follows norms of Indian Nursing Council for admission of students to Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) programme.

P.B.B.Sc. Nursing

• Intake 30 (18 University Seats + 12 Government Seats)
• Duration 2 years
  RINER follows norms of Indian Nursing Council for admission of students to Post Basic B.Sc(N) programme.

M.Sc. Nursing

• Intake 35 (21 University Seats + 14 Government Seats)
• Duration 2 years
  RINER follows norms of Indian Nursing Council for admission of students to M.Sc(Nursing) programme.

Placement:-

We have consistently maintained an excellent placement record offering 100% placements to our students across India. Our training & placement department understands the industry trend and has tailored its liasoning policies with corporate hospitals. The students are also placed at Ramaiah hospitals. Some of the corporate hospitals that have recruited our students are Columbia Asia Hospitals, Medanta Medicity, Fortis, Apollo, HCG, for their hospitals in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore etc.

Infrastructure/Facilities:-

CLINICAL
Ramaiah Institute of Nursing Education and Research is attached to Ramaiah Medical College Hospital (RMCH) and Ramaiah Memorial Hospital (RMH), both of which are NABH accredited with a cumulative bed strength of 1800. The hospitals represent the Ramaiah Group’s commitment towards the two pillars of society, Health and Education. The broad general specialties include Medical, Surgical and OBG. The Super Specialties include Urology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, orthopedics, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Endocrinology, Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology and Cardiology. Students are posted in various clinical areas from the first year of nursing course based on the subject requirement of each academic year.

LIBRARY
A large collection of books, journals gathered over a period of 32 years provide rich study and reference material. The library is equipped with a collection of 5774 textbooks. We also subscribe to a number of National and International print journals. Health Science Library and Information Networking (HELINET) facility provided by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) is subscribed to provide resources for enhanced learning and research. The library also has a vast collection of dissertations and project reports. The library comprises a state of art computer tab.

LAB
Our high-tech nursing laboratories allow linking of theories of classroom with the practice of caring for patients in a hospital environment. The labs are well equipped  with models and simulators to provide students with hands-on experience in the performance of various nursing procedures.

HOSTEL
There is a separate hostel facility for girls and boys. Shared rooms are available inside the campus to accommodate diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate students. The hostel is Wi-Fi enabled and is safe and well supervised by wardens. To ensure safety, 24 hours security is made  available.

TRANSPORTATION
Students visit various speciality hospitals and community areas across Bangalore for clinical and community health nursing postings. Transportation to these areas is facilitated by 3 buses which are owned by the college to ensure safety and comfort.

AUDITORIUM
The institution has many state of art auditoriums. These auditoriums are used for several occasions such as Lamp Lighting Ceremony, Graduation Ceremony, Fresher’s party, Felicitation functions, Alumni events, Major department level events and others.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND CLASSROOMS
We have created a safe learning environment with state of art facilities to ensure holistic development of our students. We have a separate building for all the nursing courses which creates a conducive environment for learning. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated with adequate seating arrangements. High tech classrooms help us to provide a perfect blend of classroom and online classes.
