About the College?

Overview

Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine (MIRM) is one of the country's first stem cell training institute. Established in 2007, it has the following programs in Regenerative Medicine:

• MSc
• Advanced Diploma
• MPhil
• PhD.

In addition to didactic and practical courses, it conducts annual workshops on stem cells and applications approved by ICMR with the objective of integrating education and research, and enhancing understanding of stem cells and their differentiation process required for the development of drug screening and therapies to treat human diseases.
The curriculum of MIRM is recognized internationally by reputed universities across Europe, Australia and USA.

Leadership

Prof. Sudha R Warrier is the Dean of Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine. She is a stem cell biologist with experience in India, US and Australia, post PhD.

History

Manipal Academy of Higher Education is synonymous with excellence in higher education. Over 28,000 students -- from 57 different nations --live, learn and play in the sprawling University town, nestled on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district. It also houses over 2700 faculty and other support and service staff, who cater to the two colleges and 24 professional institutions in medicine, engineering, management and humanities which dot the Wi-Fi-enabled campus.
There is also a campus in nearby Mangalore with a medical, dental and a nursing college with attached teaching hospitals.  Another campus, in Dubai, UAE, offers graduate and post graduate courses in engineering, technology and management.

In Manipal, these include educational facilities like the Simulation Lab with computer driven Manikins, an Innovation Centre, one of Asia’s largest health sciences libraries, one of the world’s best anatomy
museums, a business incubation centre and various other centers of excellence. Academic collaborations and twinning programs with several universities in the US, UK, Australia and other countries ensure that students get international exposure and expertise.
The MARENA, a massive indoor sports complex with five badminton courts, four squash courts, three tennis courts, a basketball court, a hi-tech gym and a walking track, reflects the university’s belief that a healthy mind needs a healthy body.
Part of the Manipal Group, the University is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 certified,  and has won the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award and the International Asia Pacific Quality Award in 2007- 2008.

Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine, Bengaluru Scholarships and Funding:-

Scholarship 1

• Scholar & Achiever Scholarship for All Under Graduate (UG) & Post Graduate (PG) Programs (except for BTech, BPharm, BSc Nursing, UG / PG Medical / Dental / Super Specialty)

Scholarship Guidelines:
- The minimum intake of the program must be 10.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
UG program: 80% (as per selection criteria) in 10+2 from a recognized Board.
PG program: 70% aggregate in UG from a recognized University.
Scholar category:
Scholar Scholarships constitutes 5% of the GENERAL category intake for each branch / program and is applicable for the entire program duration, starting 1st year of the program.
Achiever category:
Achiever Scholarship constitutes 5% of the GENERAL category intake for each branch / program is applicable at the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year and 5th year based on the annual academic performance in the immediate previous year i.e. 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year depending on the Program duration.

Scholarship 2

• Merit Scholarship for Children of MAHE Manipal Alumni:(Except for PG Medical / Dental, Super Specialty programs)

Scholarships Guidelines:
- Applicable for Students admitted under GENERAL category only
- Candidate’s Father / Mother Should have studied & graduated in UG program (minimum 3 year’s) / PG program (minimum 2 years) / Super specialty (minimum 2 years) / PhD program (including part-time) from any one of MAHE Manipal.
The fee waiver is 10% of the course fee:
- Candidates are required to pay the full first year course fee + Rs. 10,000 refundable Caution Deposit at the time of Reporting
Eligibility Requirements:
Under Graduate (UG) program: 80% aggregate (as per selection criteria) in 12th
Post Graduate (PG) program: 70% aggregate in Under Graduate (UG)
