M.E.S. History
Maharashtra Education Society Established in the year 1860, the Maharashtra Education Society has been contributing to the field of education by providing education from Kinder garden to Post-graduation.
The Maharashtra Education Society (MES) has been contributing to the field of education by providing the Schools and Colleges for SSC,HSC and CBSE.MES comprises of pre-primary, primary, high school, colleges, post-graduation, personality development, nursing, medical and Girls Military School. While nurturing quality education, the society makes persistent efforts to inculcate social and moral values amongst the students to develop them into responsible and patriotic citizens of India.

With over 150 years of glorious past of its existence, the MES is an icon of the service to the noble cause of education that resembles a ‘Dnyan- Vruksha’. Today MES comprises of 77 schools, colleges and institutions with 40000+ students, teachers and administrative staff. MES has top schools, colleges and institutions in Pune, Saswad, Baramati, Panvel, Belapur, Kalamboli, Shirwal, KasarAmboli, Chiplun and Ahmednagar.

About College of Nursing
Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individual of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. Nursing includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness and the care of ill, disabled and dying people. Advocacy, promotion of self environment, research, participation in shaping health policy and in patient and health system management and education are also key nursing roles.
Maharashtra Education Society College of Nursing is a Part of MES Institute of Health Science is one of leading educational institution with its presence in Maharashtra. It is one of the best Nursing College affiliated with MUHS.
The College offers various UG, PG and Diploma courses in the field of Nursing. With main objective of women empowerment in 2007, Maharashtra Education Society, Pune established INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES in Ghanekhunt- Lote, Taluka-Khed,District-Ratnagiri to provide health facilities at rural Konkan area at their door step.
In 2009, after obtaining all the permissions from apex bodies, MES COLLEGE OF NURSING was established within premises of MES INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES. Initially with RANM course in 2009, in 2010 RGNM course, in 2010 Basic B.Sc.Nursing course, in 2015 P.B.B.Sc. Nursing course and in 2017 M.Sc. Nursing course was started.

M.E.S. College of Nursing Aims 

1. Empowering women of Rural Konkan area.
2. Provide a balance of professional and general education.
3. Enable a student to become a professional nurse practitioner having self-direction and to become a responsible citizen.
4. Prepare graduates of this programme for beginning level positions in community and institutional nursing services.
5. Prepare foundation for continuing professional development and for post graduate study in nursing.
