Mother Vannini School & College of Nursing , Tadepalligudem, the pioneer institute in Nursing had its origin as School of Nursing in Tadepalligudem in the year 1998.and College of Nursing in 2001. Mother Vannini School of nursing is run by the (society) Congregation of Daughters of St. Camillus, an international registered body of religious sisters with its mother house in Rome, Italy.
The Congregation of the Daughters of St. Camillus was founded by Blessed Fr. LouisTezza and Blessed Mother Josephine Vannini. The mission given by the founders is still continuing in various forms through out the world, such as Hospitals, Health Care Centers, Home for aged, Training centers for mentally disabled children and Physiotherapy centers. The growing needs of the society inspired the sisters to start a hospital here at Tadepalligudem. It was a great desire and initiation of Mother Serafina Della Porta (former Mother General) to start a nursing school in the same campus. So as the fruits of the desire and hard work of many hands it came in to existence on 18 December 1998. The first batch of nursing school was started with 39 blooming buds.

The philosophy of the school of Nursing is derived from that of the Mother Vannini Hospital with the motto of Care, Share and Cure. We believe that candidates under going training in this school should be individually followed up and developed into persons capable of giving efficient and comprehensive, curative and preventive nursing care in hospitals, in communities and in families. Nursing is shown to them as dignified profession which is noble and pledged to the service of suffering humanity.
The school has over the last 24 years sent out 1200 full pledged nurses and midwives to meet the health needs of the people near and far. The nursing school together with the hospital provides good educational experience. The dedicated and committed faculty of the School of Nursing had obtained a record of cent percent result every year. The full-time and part-time faculties are engaged in curricular and extra curricular activities for the students. The school furnishes excellent infrastructure facilities to impart quality-nursing education. The spacious classrooms, Offices, Laboratories, Library, Hostel and other requirements as per the norms of INC are well maintained and organized for training and learning.

GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COURSE (GNM)

  The purpose of General Nursing Programme is to prepare the Nurse who will function as member of the health team beginnining with competencies to provide care in the Hospital and in the Community.  The programme is geared to the health need of the Country, Community and Individual.  It will serve as a basis for advanced study and specialization in nursing.   It will assist nurses in their personal and professional development so that they make their maximum contribution to the society as individual citizen and nurse.

Admission Requirements

• Unmarried women between the 17-35 Years of good health and morales are generally considered for admission. For SC, ST & Bc the maximum relaxation is made up to the age of 38 years.
• The candidates should have passed the intermediate/puc/pdc/XII standard or its equivalent examination.
• Single sitting candidates will be given first preference in the selection.
•  Candidates should possess good moral character, interest in working with people, maturity, right motivation, self-directed learning ability and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good knowledge of English is essential since the entire course is conducted in English and the candidate must be prepared to learn Telugu.

The completed application form is to be returned to the above address with the following:

1. Attested true copies of the mark list of Intermediate /PUC/PDC Examination or its equivalent, mark list of S.S.L.C./SSC and First page of the S.S.L.C. book showing identify, date of birth and other particulars.
2. Birth Certificate or baptism certificate .
3.  Certificate of Physical Fitness from a Registered (Govt.) Medical Practitioner .
4. Two Copies of recent passport size photographs.
5. A copy of the conduct certificate and T.C. From the principal of the college last attended.
6. Conduct Certificate form the parish Priest/Pastors in the case of Christians.
7. Copy of  Undertaking duly signed (last sheet of the prospectus ) by the candidate and the guardian.
8. A covering letter in the candidate's own writing with the List of enclosure.

B.Sc. Nursing (Four Year Degree Course)

Mother Vannini College of Nursing was established with 4 years B.Sc. Nursing programme in the year 2001. Its emphasis on value education , Intellectual and clinical training of the students so that they excel in nursing carrier. The college is affiliated to Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada, and recognized by Indian Nursing Council & Andhra Pradesh nurses and Midwifes council Hyderabad.

Admission Requirements
        A Candidate for admission into B.sc.(Nursing)(4YDC)should have completed 17 years and should not be more than 25 years on 31st December of the year of admission.

1. Upper age limit shall be relaxed by 3 years in case of SC & ST candidates.
2. Sex: Women
3. Educational Qualifications:
   • Should have passed intermediate Examination with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or intermediate Vocational( Nursing) Examination Conducted by The Board of intermediate Examination in Andhra Pradesh or any Examination Recognized as equivalent thereto ,and
   • Should have secured not less than 45% Marks in the optional subjects of the intermediate examination or Equivalent examination. In case of SC & ST candidates , it shall be not less than 40% of Marks
4. The candidates should posses good health and morale character.

   • Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate ( For Candi dates who have completed their qualifying examination under University outside Andhra Pradesh).

Entrance/Selection test

• Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by University or competent authority.

Duration

• Duration of the course shall be four years. Internship shall be one year after completion of the course and will be implemented as per State policy.

Vacation/Holidays

• Vacation shall be given in each year as per the INC Norms.

P.B.B.Sc. Nursing (2 Year Degree Course) )

Mother Vannini College of Nursing was established with 2 years P.B.B.Sc. Nursing programme in the year 2017. Its emphasis on value education , Intellectual and clinical training of the students so that they excel in nursing carrier. The college is affiliated to Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada, and recognized by Indian Nursing Council & Andhra Pradesh nurses and Midwifes council Hyderabad.

Admission Requirements
      A Candidate for admission into P.B.B.sc.(Nursing)(2YDC)should have completed 17 years and should not be more than 45 years on 31st December of the year of admission.

1. All the Candidates shall qualify in the Computer Based (Online) Entrance Test for admission into Post Basic B.Sc for admission into Competent Authority Seats and Management Quota seats.
2. The Rank in the Post Basic B.Sc., (N) Computer Based (Online) Entrance Test conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences shall be the basis for selection into Post Basic B.Sc., (N)
