Clinical Material in the Hospital 

In hospital doctors are serving it has nostalgic history of being initiated by his highness Shree Shivakuamr Swamiji, who constructed the hospital for serving the general public. Many philanthropists donated liberally for this noble cause. The hospital started functioning from 1991. Thousands of people have availed the services available in the hospital.

The hospital has a bed strength of 175. The OPD has various sections for the various departments like

• Kayachikitsa
• Panchakarma
• Shalya Tantra
• Shalakya Tantra
• Kaumarabhrithya
• Prasuti and stree roga
• Swasthya Rakshana,
• Casualty

In addition to the above, the hospital also has physiotherapy unit, a Yoga training centre, a X-Ray unit and a Pathology lab with latest equipments, radiology unit, USG facility. In-patients wards have separate wards for male and female patients. There are general, semi-special and special wards. Consultation timings: (9AM to1PM,2PM to 5PM-on working days.) (9AM to 12noon-on Holidays Surgical diseases like piles, fistula in ano, varicose veins, ulcers etc are treated. It is facilitated with separate Shastrakarmagara (major operation theater) and Anushastrakarmagara (minor operation theater). Specialized para surgical measures like Ksharasutra, Agnikarma and Raktamokshana are carried out. Three wings in Shalakya tantra OPD separately handles Eye, ENT, Dental disorders, migraine etc. Patients are trained to learn eye exercises for correction of refractive errors. Specialized treatment procedures like Tarpana, Putapaka, Karnapurana, nasya, gandusha etc. are carried out. Full-fledged OPD providing ante-natal care based on Ayurvedic principles and treatment for various gynecological disorders are carried out. Chronic cases of polio palsy, pseudo muscular dystrophy,liver disorders and mental retardation are managed. It has its own panchakarma wing for specific therapies. DOCTORS: Specialization doctors are available. There is separate children ward, with clean and hygienic environment and many other amenities to provide pure ayurvedic treatment for pediatric diseases. Hospital has a specialized Panchakarma Theatre with availability of Panchakarma Technician. We carry out all Panchakarma therapies such as Nasya, Basti(Matra), Shiro Basti, Shiropichu, Shiro Dhara, Abhyanga, Nadisweda, Shashtikashali pinda sweda, Patrapinda sweda and so on. It is a special kind of purificatory or detoxificatory therapy especially for musculo skeletal diseases, neurological disorders etc.There are well-established panchakarma theaters for male, female and children, carrying out therapeutic Emesis (vamana), Purgation (virechana), Enema (basti), Transnasal medication (nasya) and Bloodletting (raktamokshana). There is a physiotherapy unit for patient of panchakarma department, where in they taken care necessary exercises. Various specialty camps and training for paramedical staffs are conducted routinely to update the knowledge. In this unit the general public are trained to maintain the normal health by carrying out yoga. Therapeutic yoga is carried out for certain disease like Bronchial asthama, Diabetes mellitus, Backache etc. Medicines are distributed at free of cost in various dosage forms like vati, choorna, avalehya, asava, arista, taila etc. Classical and patent medicines are supplied from Government of Karnataka - Government Central Pharmacy and logistics. There is a well equipped pathology laboratory conducting necessary routine investigations for the patients. It has also ECG unit. By advising code of conduct (sadvrutta), daily and seasonal regimen (dinacharya and rutucharya), diet (Pathya) and counselling, for promoting better health to the patients as well as to the public.
