About Nootan College of Nursing

It is a constituent college of nootan education group, Visnagar. It is estabilished in the academic year 2012-13 on the name of Nootan College of Nursing. This College is situated at Visnagar, Kheralu-Ambaji main Highway and close to Mehsana. This college is permitted by Government of Gujarat and recognized to Gujarat Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council. Faculty and student exchange programme enrich the faculty and students.

Introduction

• “Nursing is an art, and if it is to be made an art it requires as exclusive as devotion, as hard a preparation, as any painters or sculptor’s work. In the past, the nurse was a person trained to perform specific task. Later, nursing was recognized as a professional demanded quality health care. Nursing practices are also influenced by consumer’s awareness, patients rights’, rising health care costs, health promotion and evidence based practice. Nursing is a growing with current trends and technology. Patient care is the main focus of this modern world and nurses play a vital role in health care system. So competent nurses are in demand all over the world. According to various surveys there is a requirement of one million nurses for the next five year. The graduate nurses from our Nootan College of Nursing will be part of health care system and the global phenomenon.

OBJECTIVES

1. To provide opportunities which would enable the student to develop aptitude to function as an effective nurse.
2. To prepare a professional and technically skilled nurse competent to give comprehensive nursing care to the individual, family and community in sickness and health.
3. To prepare the student with guidance to take up leadership in teaching, nursing practice in hospitals and community health agencies.
4. To provide the opportunities and experiences which would enable the students to develop and maintain interpersonal relationship with professionals and with the patients & relatives.
5. To provide the student with knowledge and learning experience which would enable her as a nurse to function with increasing ability, enlarge her capacity for her own professional growth as an effective citizen and representative of her profession.

AIM

• The aim of Nootan college of nursing is to provide an educational experience through which the graduate nurse will be prepared to assume responsibility in primary, secondary and tertiary care of people as a professional nurse, and capable of teaching and supervising nursing care in different settings and participate in the administration of nursing service and education. 

From Chairman's / President’s Desk
We are happy and proud to announce our second anniversary. Our roots are strong and deep. They go back to 1941 when my grandfather Late Shri Sankalchand Patel started a school in the barren land where education was not accessible for children.
Today, three quarter of a century later, we have become a leading educational Institution in the Northern Gujarat region which now has become a University.

In fact, Sankalchand Patel University, a union of eleven colleges of Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, Visnagar is growing faster than ever. Our trust is to stand out by providing quality education and a bright future to the students.
