Ayurveda Medical College:

Amidst nature, with green all around, the P. N. Ayurveda Medical College is located in Parakalai in Hosdurg Taluk, Kasaragod District. The infra structure of the Campus have been completed in such a way that it unveils the best one needs.The college is endowed with all the necessary facilities like water, power and commutation being a few. The Mangalore Airport is easily accessible from the College Campus, a boon to our outbound students. The College is fully equipped for a successful completion of the five and a half year long BAMS Course. Presently 50 seats have been allotted for BAMS Course.

Kerala, Gods own country is very famous for Ayurvedic treatments. Ayurveda has shown several magics by curing several Incurable ailments by other types of medicine. This branch of science deals mainly with nature and most medicines are derived from medicinal plants.

Our own Medical College Hospital is at a stone's throw away distance from the College Campus. The hospital offers all facilities for the care of any medical emergencies of our people.

Classrooms

The canteen can be located attached to the Hospital building. Separate dining hall is provided for staff, students and visitors. The Canteen is in supervision of experienced caterers where they give highest priority to food hygiene. Management has also The management has a plan to start a co-operative store inside the campus to cater the daily requirements of students, such as books, stationery and other needs.

About Us

Late. Sri. P. N. Panicker was a great soul, a driving force behind mass library movement in Kerala. His birthday, March 1st is being celebrated as Social Activity Day. June 19th, the day he left us is observed as Reading Day in Kerala (Vayanadinam).

Sri. P.N. Panicker worked as Elected General Secretary of Kerala Granda Shala Sangam for 32 years. In 1977 he formed KANFED and spread its units all over Kerala. “Read & Grow” was his Slogan. For that he installed libraries in many villages through the propagation by KANFED, which has got sixty units in Kasaragod district. In 1993, an institution by name and style “Souhruda Grama Samithi” was established by him.

He strongly believed and established that apart from the formal education, non formal education plays a prominent role in the development of socio, economical and educational field in the country, especially in rural areas. A coincidence factor is that he has got strong faith and allegiance to Ayurveda treatment and Medicines.

P.N.Panicker Souhruda Trust, which was formed and registered to commemorate the patron of literacy movement and the founder of library establishment in Kerala, late Sri.P.N.Panicker who was great soul, the driving force behind mass library movement.
