Pragathi is a Pioneering educational institute with an impeccable track record which is established with the aim to provide quality professional education and has successfully given more than 90% results over the years.Pragathi campus is located at the heart of Bengaluru city just 16 kms away from Majestic bus stand and city Railway station, on the National highway which leads to Bengaluru International Airport.Our Institution is recognized by the concerned apex bodies such as Karnataka Nursing Council, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bengaluru & Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. OBJECTIVE

Courses & Admission:-

GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY (GNM)
Programme Duration: 3 Years
This programme is aimed at creating the skilled and competent nurses who put painstaking efforts to discover care and health. This programme lets the students learn to provide the comprehensive medical care to the patients suffering from different ailments.

• 60 candidates

Eligibility Criteria:

• Pass in PUC/PDC (10 + 2) with 40% aggregate marks preferably Science from recognized PU Board. Vacant seats can be filled with Arts & Commerce PUC/PDC/10+2 with 40% Aggregate marks. In case of SC/ST 35% aggregate marks.
• Students shall be medically fit.
• Admission of students will be once in an academic year.
• Minimum age 17 years, Maximum age 35 years. (For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar)

BASIC B.SC. NURSING
Programme Duration: 4 Years
This Programme is aimed to develop competent and professional nursing practitioners who are pro-active and responsible both in clinical and teaching set up.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The minimum education requirement is higher Secondary (10+2)/Pre-University or equivalent examinations, with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English, obtaining 45% or more marks in the aggregate of these subjects.
• Passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) taken together in the qualifying examination.
• Candidate should have completed 17 Years on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission.
• The admission will be on the basis of merit ranking of the students in entrance test and counselling.
• Candidate shall be medically fit.
• Candidates should produce Eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

• Be a registered nurse.

• Be medically fit.
• Have good personal and professional record.
• Candidates should produce Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka
• No Candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission shall be eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for M. Sc Nursing:

• The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
• The minimum educational requirement shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
• The candidate should have undergone B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
• Minimum one year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing.
• Candidates will be selected based on merit list on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the University examination/ selection examination conducted.
• Candidates should produce Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka.
• Candidates shall be medically fit.

Each has ward beds, equipment and a computerized audio-visual system to facilitate teaching, demonstration and return-demonstration. By assessing the various clinical signs generated by the simulators, students are able to make clinical decisions and practice their nursing skills in a safe and realistic Environment.

LIBRARY
Library consists of well stocked books of professional,nonprofessional books, medical journals, Indian & international Journals, periodicals, newspapers in English & regional languages.
The library is constantly updated with a new edition of books with large collection of audio & videos presentations are made freely available to the students to cultivate the habit of reference reading in them.
The library provides computer based learning through provision of CD’s. Students and faculties can access over 1000 specialized professional e-journals (National and International).
The library will be kept open from 9.00 AM to 10.00 PM.

Our education trust has established separate hostel for girls & boys with qualified warden in the same campus for girls with at most security measures.
Hostel rooms are well ventilated & telephones facilities are provided & 24 hours of water supply is also provided.
Hostel food of both vegetarians & non-vegetarians is served to the students as per their preference to North Indian (Bengali & others), South Indian & Seasonal Foods.

READING AND RECREATION

• The student on rotations will be in-charge of the reading room which is kept open from 4.00 P.m. to 8.00 P.m. every day. Current magazines will be issued for circulation among the students.
• The institute provides spacious sports room which includes table tennis, carom boards, chessboard and many other indoor games. There is also an outdoor game facility for throw ball and tennis. Etc…
• The sports and recreation committee is responsible for organizing and conducting games and sports periodically and participating in State Level and National Level competitions.
