LABORATORIES

Modern Labs with sophisticated equipment for clinical practice with Fundamentals of Nursing, Community Health, Nursing, Midwifery, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology & Bio-chemistry as per the INC Syllabus.

TRANSPORT

We provide Transport facility for the students to commute when visiting the medical college and other field trips. Experienced driver and a local guide will always be present to assist the students when required.

HOSTEL & FOOD

The institution provides a native environment within the campus. There are separate Hostels for both boys and girls. As the Girls Hostel is situated within the campus, the students are safe and secure. The rooms are spacious with common bathrooms and toilets. They are provided both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food. We also have separate rooms for Parents during their visiting hours.

Clinical:

Clinical experience will be provided in the 5 affiliated hospitals and one govt. Hospital, Clinical instructor also guiding the students in the field.

Recreational Facilities:

Institute is providing indoor/ outdoor games facilities, which helps in extra development of the student. Institute also organizes sports week every year, which gives an opportunity for the students to take part in different activites.

Computer Facilities:

To keep all the students updated with latest news & knowledge in nursing sciences, College has high performance computers with internet.

Courses

DGNM – Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery

DGNM is the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery course which can be done as a nursing course after 12th. Nursing is a popular and lucrative profession given the shortage of qualified nurses worldwide and in India. This has increased the demand for nursing admissions; the demand is seen even more in nursing colleges in Bangalore!

The DGNM nursing course is offered in the Best Nursing colleges in Bangalore and is comparable to the B.Sc Nursing course. Students undertake 3 years of study plus 6 months of internship in the GNM nursing course. All courses are benchmarked and standardized according to the rules set by the Karnataka Nursing Council.

DGNM Nursing Admission Criteria

All the DGNM nursing colleges in Bangalore have similar admissions criteria –

• The minimum age for student is 17 years
• Student should have passed 10+2 class with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks with the Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
• Students who have completed the Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery course can also apply for the DGNM course
• Apart from this students should be medically fit
