The Sandipani Academy Society with the mission to impart excellence, standard and quality education in the field of nursing profession established Sandipani Nursing College in the year 2011.The college has brought the social transformation by educating both boys and girls for providing care to the sick and needy individuals.The college has excellent infrastructure and the building. The college has successfully completed 10 years of its existence. It is preparing post graduates, graduates and diploma nurses, with advance theoretical knowledge based on scientific, modern, evidence based practical skills to face today’s challenges of modern health care systems in the world. The College also focuses on all round development of students to uplift them personally as well as professionally.

1. The nursing courses ( MSc Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing & Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing) should be planned around the nursing care need of the society as well as the educational needs and personal development of nursing students.

Admission Criteria

Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by University or competent authority.

• M.Sc Nursing

  1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with Chhattisgarh Nursing Registration Council.

  2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of:B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

  3. The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons.Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

  4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

  5. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing.

  6. Candidate shall be medically fit.

  7. Five Percentage relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given.

• B.Sc Nursing

  1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.

  2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of: Higher secondary school certificate Examination from a recognized board or University with science (Physics, chemistry, Biology) and English.

  3.A candidate should have passed in subjects of PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination. i.e. 10+2.

  4. English is a Compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B. Sc Nursing.

  5. Candidate shall be medically fit.

  6. Five Percentage relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given.

• PB B.Sc Nursing

  1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with Chhattisgarh Nursing Registration Council.

  2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of GNM with minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

  3. The candidate should have undergone in GNM in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council

  4. After GNM with the Registration certificate from the State Nursing Council, the candidate can be permitted to join in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing without work experience.

  5. Candidate shall be medically fit.

  6. Five Percentage relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given.

• General Nursing & Midwifery(GNM)

• 1. 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.

  2. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.

  3. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre. Registered ANM with pass mark.

• Certificate To Be Submitted

  Attested copy of secondary school (10th) examination certificate indicating Date of Birth/ Date of Birth certificate.

  Attested copy of senior school certificate examination (10+2) or equivalent examination.
