Sindhudurga Education Society (SES) has been committed to “ EDUCATION IS LIFE”. The Societywas established in the year 1985, in Maharashtra State, under the visionary leadership of Mr. Vasant Yashwant Sawant, Mrs. Varsha Vasant Sawant, intention to deliver social through various projects viz. literacy programs, health care programs and education right from essential schooling to higher education including technical, paramedical and professional courses, at the lowest cost affordable by the students and people of the socio-economically and financially backward region of Maharashtra.
Sindhudurga Education Society is a Registered Trust under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.
The society also resumes its concern towards imparting best education comprising intellectual and physical needs of the students and thus preparing them to face the challenges of the modern ever – changing world.
SES’s growth has been phenomental, considering the facts that it started with the modest strength of only few students pursuing a single course. It has grown steadily and today boasts of high – quality institutions with more than 2000 students enrolled with us, pursuing multi disciplinary programmes viz….

AIMS :

The college aims to prepare nurse graduates.

To assume responsibilities as professional competent nurse and midwife in providing holistic care.
To assume role of care provider, manager, supervisor, teacher, researcher in different health care set up.

OBJECTIVES :

On completion of four years degree course in Nursing a graduate nurse will be able to :
Provide comprehensive Nursing care to people in hospital, community and other health care settings.
Contribute as on effective member of health team in promotive, Preventive, Curative and Rehabilitative Health Care activities.
Provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the inpiduals and groups.
Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care.
Practice within the frame work of code of ethics and professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
Involve herself / himself in development activities including research which will enable her in personal and professional excellence.
Demonstrate skills in teaching to inpiduals and groups in clinical / community health settings.
Participate effectively as members of the health team in health care delivery system.
Demonstrate awareness, interest and contribute toward, advancement of self and of the profession.

R.A.N.M PROGRAMME (2 YEARS)

INTRODUCTION TO R.A.N.M PROGRAMME (2 YEARS)

R.A.N.M. (Revised Auxillary Nurse & Midwife) programme is geared to the health needs of the individual, family community & the country at large. It is to prepare nurses who will function as member of health team initial competencies for first level position in both hospital and community to fulfill needs of the country.

DURATION : 2 years full time
INTAKE : 20 students per year (Only Female)
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : Marathi / Hindi/ English
ELIGIBILITY : HSC (XII th std.) or equivalent in any stream with minimum 40% aggregate marks (Science / Art / Commerce).
Age limit : The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years. Student shall be medically fit.
ADMISSION : On merit basis and as per the admission rules laid down by Govt. of Maharashtra and Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai.
PRACTICAL TRAINING : Each student has to undergo clinical experience prescribed by INC and Mnc.
EXAMINATIONS : Examinations are conducted by Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai.
STANDARD OF PASSING : 50% marks in internal and MNC Examinations.
HOSTEL : Separate Hostel for boys and girls is available in campus. Rooms are well equipped and furnished.
CANTEEN / MESS : Canteen / Mess facility is available for students.

G.N.M PROGRAMME (3 YEARS)

INTRODUCTION TO G.N.M PROGRAMME (3 YEARS)

G.N.M. (General Nursing & Midwifery) programme is geared to the health needs of the individual, family community & the country at large. It is to prepare nurses who will function as member of health team initial competencies for first level position in both hospital and community to fulfill needs of the country.

DURATION : 3 years full time
INTAKE : 50 students per year
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : Marathi / Hindi/ English
ELIGIBILITY :
- Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 45% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council
- 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre
- Registered ANM with pass mark.
Age limit : Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as on 31st December of that year) The upper age limit is 35 yrs. For ANM/ for LHV, there is no age bar.
Student shall be medically fit.

BASIC B. SC. NURSING

INTRODUCTION TO BASIC B. SC. NURSING

It is expected that graduates are capable to teach and supervise appropriate nursing and health care in different setting and participate in the administration of nursing service and education.
DURATION : 4 years full time
UNIVERSITY RECOGNITION : Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree conferred by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
INTAKE : 30 students (Female / Male) per year
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : English
ELIGIBILITY :
- Passed 12th standard (10+2) higher secondary school certificate examination of Maharashtra state board or any other examination recognised as equivalent examinations by the University consisting of physics chemistry biology EXCEPT English with minimum 45%(PCB) marks for open category and 40%(PCB) group Marks for reserved category of Maharashtra state (reservation quota as per norms).
- Admission compulsory done through a NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (NEET) or as per norms laid down by concerned authorities
- Candidate shall be medically fit
SCHOLARSHIP : Scholarship facility is available for Open (up to 50% only few students), OBC, SC, ST, VJNT and SBC category students.
AGE LIMIT : Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
FEES : As per Shikshan Shulk Samiti (Fee Regulating Committee) , Maharashtra State.
ASSESSMENT :
- As per the norms by INC and MUHS Internal and university examinations will be conducted.
- Standard of passing is 50% marks in separately in Internal and External examinations.
PRACTICAL TRAINING : Each student has to undergo clinical experience prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences with 100% of attendance.
