Our Pedagogy -
Our Nursing Program aims in create leaders in the profession of nursing by providing unique, innovative education that is repressive to the needs to the market and in-sync with the rapid advance in the healthcare sector in India as well as well abroad. The curriculum emphasizes a holistic to approach to nursing care in order to ensure an all- round growth of the students.
Student nurses will be trained to meet international standards of professionalism and maintain the highest standard of clinical practice. They will receive training in basic nursing procedure which will help them deliver basic care to patients. All students will be imparted training in the development of basic skill in the laboratory-in simulated conditions-before they are exposed to actual hospital situations.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing has been set up for providing training to youth to enable them to become dedicated and expert nursing professionals. The college is approved by Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, and is affiliated to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and Jammu and Kashmir State Nursing Council to impart 4 years B.Sc Nursing degree program.
B. Sc. Nursing is an excellent choice for young men and women interested in a health care career after successfully passing of XII standard with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subject. On completion of the course, the graduates have numerous job opportunities in the hospitals, communities, school, educational institutions, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies in any part of the world. Those who intend to continue their studies can opt for M.Sc. and Ph. D. studies in nursing.
Our Bachelor of Nursing degree course provides high achieving undergraduate students with the opportunity to extend themselves intellectually and clinically, there by rendering quality care to the general public through our hospital and community service.
The biggest challenge for nurse educators today is to prepare graduate nurses who are capable of facing emerging challenges and technological advancement in the field of medicine and working at the International level.
