Shree Satya Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is under the flagship of Shree Satya Educational Trust. The college is one and only Ayurveda College in Moradabad Region. The college has a well-equipped and fully fledged hospital with Out Patient Department (OPD) as well as In Patient Department (IPD) which is running successfully since 2015.The hospital houses 100 beds for In-patients through which the students can clinically trained. Panchakarma Therapy, Ksharasutra Therapy and other treatment procedures combined with consultation by specialist Doctors and equipped with all the modern diagnostic equipment are attached to the hospital.
Shree Satya Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital comprises of full-time dedicated and highly qualified staff members including experienced personnel in rare branches of Ayurveda. The college has a pharmacy with highly modernized equipment and caters to the needs of the college hospital.
The college has a well maintained Herbal Garden spread over more than 5000 sq. mtrs of land and consists of exquisite collection of more than 500 species of rare herbs, plants and trees.
The college has its own building which is equipped with well-furnished museums, laboratories, class rooms, audio-visual aids and library.

B.A.M.S.

Bachelor Of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) is an integrated Medical Degree of modern Medicine and traditional Ayurveda. The degree is of five and half year duration, including one year internship after passing 10+2 with PCB. The syllabus and curriculum is uniform throughout India. The course structure is aimed to provide theory as well as practical training in the healing science of Ayurveda. First year subjects are anatomy physiology and basic principles. Second year or second professional subjects are Pharmaceuticals science's as Dravyaguna and Rasashastra evam Bhaysajjya Kalpana with pathology ( rognidan) . Third year professional subjects are Toxicology (Agad Tantra), preventing medicine, OBG (Stri & Prasuti Tantra and Pediatrics) . The Fourth year professional subjects are Surgery, Opthalmology & ENT, Medicine and Panchkarma the essence of Indian Medicine.
BAMS graduate can practice modern / allopathic medicine in India. Many people are unaware of this fact that BAMS doctors can practice modern / allopathic medicine. According to the privileges in the Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940, Rules 1945 Sec 2ee(iii), States have right to allow BAMS doctors seem to prescribe more irrationally as compared to MBBS doctors when comparative evaluation of MBBS and BAMS doctor’s prescription trends was carried out using World Health Organization Criteria.

Eligibility


The qualification needed for the B.A.M.S program is a pass in an intermediate program with Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Sanskrit. The candidate must pass +2 from a recognized board. The minimum age limit is 17 years. Some colleges also provide certificate programs from 1 to 2 years. Qualification needed for such program is Matriculation with Sanskrit or an equivalent exam.

Duration of Course

The Under-graduate Course, Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is of 5½ years duration (4½ years of the main course and 1 year internship).
