Our Philosophy

Institute Profile:
Smt. Sitabai Nargundkar’s daughter Smt. Shakuntala Nargundkar donated All her property at Nagpur for samstha’s mission of empowerment of women through Education. Today’s this campus is known as Nargundkar Shaikshanik Sankul where the administrative office of Nursing College is located.
This college was established in 2007, in Nagpur, with noble Intention to develop professional Nurses by imparting quality education through well qualified teaching staff and rich clinical experience at renowned hospitals of Nagpur. .

Aim of the programme:
- The primary purpose of the programme is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities in the primary, secondary and tertiary health care of people as professional nurses. It is expected that graduates will be capable of teaching and supervising appropriate nursing and health care in different settings and participate in the administration of nursing service and education.

Basic B.Sc Nursing

Purpose
To provide an educational programme through which the graduates will be prepared to assume responsibility in the primary, secondary and tertiary care of people as professional nurses. It is expected that graduates are capable of teaching and supervising appropriate nursing and health care in different setting and participate in the administration of nursing service and education.
Duration – Four (4) years full time.
Intake – 80 students per annum.
Medium of Instruction – English
Eligibility
Minimum age: 17 years
4 year Degree course (intake 50 girls students)
A candidate should have passed in subject of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB,40% for reserve Category at the qualified examination i.e (10+2)
English is a compulsory subjected in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.SC (N) .Admission will be based on the NEET-UG.

Assessment
Internal Assessment at institute and final examination is conducted by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences every year.
Standard of passing
Fifty percent (50%) marks in both Internal and University examination.
Practical Training
Each student has to undergo the clinical experience prescribed by Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences each year with 95-100% attendance.

Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (HSC) or its equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose.
Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifer (GNM) and registered as R.N.R.M with State Nursing Registration Council.Selection of candidate based uon the merit.

Faculty – Faculty is highly qualified in Nursing and Medical Sciences and approved by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
