SVET and the Founder’s Ideology
SVET is the brain child of the versatile South Indian actor Dr. M. Mohan Babu, who is also an ace film Producer and former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) in the year 1992. Progressing positively, in the year 1993, he had materialised his objective of delivering quality education to the young minds and educating the people of backward region in Raylseema. Supporting the deserving students and providing quality education has always been his motto, to which he added financial assistance to students irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region. His inspiration is the source of energy for SVET and its students.
Sree Vidyanikethan College of Nursing has been sanctioned by the AP State Government, approved by AP Nursing Council and Recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. It is affiliated by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.  G.O’s given below.

We possess the core academic competency and have a strong vision forward, we feel that it is our responsibility to provide primary Health Care to the community by striving to establish and establish a centre of excellence for those looking to pursue higher education in Nursing. Our focus on creative and analytical approach to the solution of problems in Nursing Practice and Education and to develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies required for providing Primary Health Care scientifically and independently to the individuals, families and the community at large, have worked in our favour to establish this centre of learning.

The Trust sponsors Sree Vidyanikethan International School, Degree College, Post Graduate College, Engineering College, Pharmacy College and Nursing College with a total strength of about 10,000+ students and 750 staff members. All the trust institutions have pure reputation in identifying itself as a premier chain of educational institutions in the state and have successfully carved a name in the field of education.

Our trust campus spreads over an area of 175 acres with sylvan surroundings, just 14 kms away from the Temple Town of Tirupati on the National High way no. 205 between Tirupati – Madanapalli. The trust is known to provide free education to the poorest of the poor irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

Our emphasis has always been on the creative, thoughtful and analytical approach in solving the problems in Nursing practice, to thereby develop cognitive, affective and psycho motor competencies among the students that will enable them to accommodate themselves in the socio-cultural changes of today, tomorrow and forever. We also utilize Nursing process in meeting the physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and the community through primary nursing in order to maintain optimum functionality of the systems
In the dynamic society we live in, a graduate nurse is expected to function independently, and at the same time doing justice in delivering health care to families, individuals and the like. DESCRIPTION

• Duration of the course is 4 years including internship.
• Academic year  consists of not less than 260 working days including university examinations.
  • Weeks available per year:52 weeks
  • Vacation:8 weeks
  • Gazette holidays:3 weeks
  • Examination (including preparatory ):4 weeks
  • Available weeks:37 week
  • Hours per week: 40 weeks
  • Practical:30 hours per week
  • Theory:10 hours per week
  • Internship practicals:48 hours per week
  • Hours available per Academic year: 1480(37 weeksX40hours)

Attendance required for attending to examinations :-

1. A candidate should have minimum of 80% of attendance in theory and 100% in practicals in each subject before admission to the examinations.
2. Referred/failed candidates have to put in minimum percentage of attendance for eligibility to appear for re-examination

Eligibility for promotion

1. The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 8 years.
2. If a candidate fails either in theory or in practical exam he/she has to reappear for both examinations (theory+practical).
3. The number of attempts for examination has been waived off. However to appear for final year examination, the candidate shall have cleared all the previous examinations.

Internal Assessment

1. A student must obtain a minimum of 50%of the maximum marks fixed for Internal assessment in that particular subject.
2. Fresh internal assessment exam is mandatory to the referred and to the detained students. Previous internal assessment marks will not be considered for subsequent appearances.

• The advertisement for admission will be announced by Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, for the students who have completed 10+2. The students are called for counselling based on the merit list.

1. Notification by Dr.N.T.R.University of Health Sciences Advertisement will be announced by Dr N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada  calling for applications from 10+2 students.
2. Online application to be Filled and submitted to the Dr. N.T.R.University of Health Sciences through the website http://drntruhs.org
3. Merit list to be checked on internet: Based on the merit list, students will be called for Verification of certificates
4. Opting the Institutions by students through online

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

• REVISED ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR B.SC., (NURSING) 4 YD COURSE: 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• 10+2 Passed with minimum 45% aggregate of marks in science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English is compulsory subject.
• 10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSCE/ HSCE/NIOS/APOSS or other equivalent Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences.
• Those who belongs to SC, ST and BC are eligible with minimum 40% in the Science Group subjects and English is compulsory subject
• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31* December of the year in which admission is sought.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR P.B.B.SC NURSING(2 YEAR DEGREE COURSE)

2. Computer based (Online) Entrance test
3. Rank in the  (Online) Entrance test Shall be the basis for selection

ELIGIBILITY FOR POST BASIC B.SC (N), NURSING 2 YDC COURSE

Eligibility: The Candidates seeking admission into Post Basic (N). Course should have passed Intermediate Examination (Or) Any other equivalent examination (10+2 pattern) recognized by the University in A.P. or Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (And) Technical Qualification:Should have passed General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Govt.of A.P or Nursing Council of India and shall be registered with the State Nursing Council. The Candidates seeking admission into Posy Basic B.sc (N). Course under Management Quota shall also qualify in the Entrance Test

Age: Candidate should have completed 17 years and should not be more than 45 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. In case of SC / ST candidates the maximum age shall be relaxed by 3 years.

Fee:

• Free seat fee for the A.Y 2021-2022; 18000+18000= 36000(additional charges only in First year).
• Management Quota Fee Rs.95,200/- + University Affiliation Fee P.A.

Scholarships:-

We give scholarship for those pupils, who are keen at studying but due to unwanted circumstances cannot afford paying so much of fees. Basically students from BC, SC and ST would be given concessions. Scholarship based on Merit is also given to the hard working candidates. Therefore, the role of the College is to nurture each individual so that each one explores and develops these natural gifts. We firmly believe that every individual is unique and distinct, endowed with special innate talents and aptitude.
