Management

Education is the soul of society and the pillar of human civilization. The way of knowledge transfer from one generation to another defines the quality of the education system. Knowledge should be acquired with a simple and humble attitude with the teacher. The outcome of education should be a new idea and invention.

There are many professions that can change society but the profession of teacher is more simple and effective. This is what motivated us to start nursing college. Before the last two decades, our country did not have enough active health care staff to serve society but time has changed. Our country's medical and health care system has improved, this is because of the good education system.

Fresh students entering into a professional course should be trained and motivated well in their college life. They will be the future professionals of our society, the nation relies on them. Being a skilled professional demands a lot of hard work and sacrifice in the training period.

My message to fresh students is, "Do not stop until you are proud of yourself", once you have decided to achieve something work as if there is nothing with you. Always be future-oriented and tend to value your parents, teachers, and society by making them proud one day.

Diploma In General Nursing And Midwifery Course (GNM)

Eligibility Criteria For Admission :

The Candidate Should Have:

1. A minimum educational qualification of PUC / PDC / 10+2 or equivalent examination passed.
2. Good conduct and should health and belongs to the age group between 17-35 years.
3. The candidate should be medically and physically fit.
4. The candidate have to produce the following certificates during the time of admission.
5. S.S.L.C. / X Std. certificate.
6. PUC / PDC / 10+2 passed certificate.
7. Recent conduct / character certificate from the principal of last attended college.
8. T.C. / cumulative record.
9. Physical fitness certificate.
10. 3 copies of recent photograph.
11. Migration certificate

Eligibility Criteria Appearing For The Examination:

• A minimum of 80% attendance in theory and practical / clinical separately in each subject in each academic year is essential for appearing in the examination.
• A candidate must have 100% attendance in each of the practical areas before award of degree.
• Each academic year shall be taken as a unit for calculation the attendance.

Library Facilities

The library is filled with a variety of learning resources that are useful to the students in their academics and research. There are a variety of books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, research papers, charts, etc.

• As per the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences instruction, we implemented a high-tech digital library with helinet facility for student’s academic references.

Our Hostel Facilities

For the safe and comfortable stay of outside students during their college life, Vagdevi College of Nursing has a separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The hostel includes all the basic facilities with a clean environment and hygienic food. Both north Indian and south Indian foods are served.

Every floor has a warden to check the hostel discipline and safety of the students. Hostel inmates have to follow strict guidelines and obey all the rules and regulations.

General Discipline:

A nursing profession that demands attractive service from its members, exerts self-discipline at a personal level, and general discipline in the campus. Therefore:

• Regular attendance, as well as punctuality, is expected from the students at lectures, demonstration, clinical experiences, fieldwork, and other such academic exercises.
• Students are also required to present themselves modestly neat and tidy in their dress avoiding exaggerated fashions.
• The students should wear the prescribed complete uniform during their clinical practices.
• A sense of decorum and discipline is expected from every student in the hospital as well as in the entire campus. Ragging is strictly prohibited.
• Students should refrain from disfiguring walls and furniture and from other objective-able practices. In case of breakages/loss of hospital/hostel articles those shall be made good and promptly. Failure to meet the demand during the stipulated time shall incur a penalty.
