About Us
Welcome to St. Ann’s Nursing Education Institution, Visakhapatnam
St.Ann’s nursing education institutions is a unit of St.Ann’s society and a religious minority established to serve the locality extending training for the young girls for the healing ministry of Jesus. The school of nursing is under the board of DME of Andhra Pradesh and college of nursing is affiliated to N.T.R University of health sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and recognized by Indian nursing council.
Administration
The Society of Sisters of St. Ann, Luzern was founded by Rev. Fr. Wilhelm Meyer, a great visionary, on 21 November 1909 in Switzerland for the service of the needy, the sick and the suffering, especially for the women and children. Responding to the crying needs of the time, the first four missionaries landed in Indian soil on 28 December 1927 and began their healing ministry in Bimilipatnam, Vizag.
St. Ann’s J.M. Hospital, Malkapuram was started in 1988 to cater to the health needs of the area. St. Ann’s school of nursing (GNM) was born in 2003 within the same campus and the College of Nursing (B.Sc (N) in 2018 affiliating itself to the hospital for the clinical training to keep pace with the current trend in medical and nursing sciences.

Aims & Objectives
We aim at developing those who:

- Are motivated in sharing the love of God to everyone especially the sick and the suffering
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients at various setting in India and in abroad
- Co-operate with other members of the health team for the preventive, promotive and curative health care services in the hospital, community and other health care agencies.
- Uphold moral, ethical and Christian values and practice in personal and professional life.
- Update themselves with innovative, creative and evidence based knowledge and share in raising the health status of the society and standard of the profession.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Certificates to be enclosed with Application
Applicable only for the local candidates
- Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- Minimum educational requirement shall be passing of 12 years course or 10 +2 years course with biological sciences or an equivalent of 12 years schooling from a recognized board with science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
- Candidates should be medically fit.
- Candidates should be single (female only) of good health and good moral Character.
- Good Knowledge of English is essential and candidates from other states must be prepared to learn Telugu.
- Attested Copy of S.S.C or any equivalent examination, showing Identity of the date of birth of the Candidate.
- Attested copy of the intermediate certificate showing statement of marks obtained in the qualifying Examination.
- Attested copy of the study/ confide certificate from 4th to Intermediate senior.
- Two attested conduct certificates One from the Head of the institution in which the candidate studied and the other from a respectable officer / parish priest/ any person of good social standing.
- Attested copy of the Transfer certificate from the institution in which the candidate last studied.
- Six recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
- Three self addressed envelops 11 Cms.x27 Cms. size affixing stamp worth Rs 15/- each.
- Migration certificate (only for the Non-Locals).
- Baptism Certificate (If Christian).
- A covering letter in candidates own Handwriting.
- A letter from the parent/guardian permitting the candidate to pursue the course.
- Latest Caste certificate of the candidate those who belong to SC/ST/BC&EBC.
- White Ration card clear Xerox copy.
- Aadhar Card Xerox copies of the candidate and parents.
- Bank Account should be in name of the candidate.
B.Sc Nursing
