President's Message

Hon'ble, Dr. Shri. R. Deshmukh
Since I was a kid, my father Shri Ganpatrao Deshmukh had imprinted in my thoughts that I should become a doctor. At that time, there was only one medical college in Vidarbha i.e. in Nagpur .By great struggle and by God’s grace and little hard work I could obtain MBBS, MS, FRCS (Ortho) M.Ch.(Ortho). I was also successful in U.K. I used to think that why we can’t have a beautiful and efficient hospital on India? So I Came back with vision, dedication and best wishes of my friends and relative ,I was very successful in my orthopedic practice. Then I thought that I should have a multi specialty Hospital which is of world standard. That we are doing successfully in Suretech Hospital & Research Center Ltd. Nagpur.
We have all latest medical equipment’s for giving excellent treatment. Though the nursing was good, it was lacking in expertise and dedication. Therefore, I decided to have a nursing school attached to Suretech Hospital & Research Centre Ltd. Luckily, Dynanpath Bahu-Uddeshiya Shikshan Prasark Mandal came forward and we established College of Nursing within 3 courses – ANM,GNM & B.Sc.(N) Our aim is to give respect, expertise and dedication to the nursing profession so that our nurses educated from this institution are treated amongst the best in National & International Hospitals. I pray to god to help me in this project.

About the Course :

Duration: 2 Years
Council: Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC)
Board: Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education, Mumbai

Criteria :

Sr.No	Required	Description
1	Minimum Age for Admission	17 YEARS completed on 31st December of that year. The upper age limit is 30.
2	Minimum Education	The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of 12 years of schooling (10+2 year course) recognized by CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE OR a recognized equivalent examination.
3.	Student shall be medically fit.
4.	In addition to above admission procedure laid down by the MNC/INC.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

About the Course :

Duration: 3 Years
Weeks Available: 52 weeks
Vacation: 4 weeks
Examination (including preparatory): 2 weeks
Available weeks: 46 weeks
Hours per week: 40 hours
Hours available per academic year (1st & 2nd Year): 1840 (46 wks × 40 hours) X 2=3680
Hours available for 3rd Year (Part I): 960 (24 wks × 40 hours)

Criteria :

Sr.No	Required	Description
1	Minimum Age for Admission	17 years complete (as on 31st dec. of that year). The upper age limit is 35. ANM/LHV,there is no age bar
2	Minimum Education	a) 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40 % at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from state open school recognized by state government and National institute of open school (NIOS) recognized by central government , However science is preferable.
		a) 10+2 with English having 40 % of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
		c) 10+2 with English having 40 % of Marks in Vocational Stream-Health care science from a recognized CBSE Board/state/centre.
		d) Registered ANM with pass mark from state Nursing registration council.
3.	Students shall be medically fit.
4.	Male candidates enrolment should not exceeds 30 % of total enrolment.
5.	In addition to above admission procedure laid down by the MNC & INC.
