Introdution

Universal Education Academy comprising of Universal college and school of Nursing was started in the year 2004 under the efficient and dynamic leadership with the objectives of moulding efficient and benevolent nurses. The management of the Institute is the Congregation of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception (CFIC Fathers and Brothers). CFIC is founded by Blessed Luigi Maria Monti in Italy. Blessed Monti who was a nurse dedicated himself to the care of the sick and needy. Inspired by the founder Blessed Luigi Monti, the Institute is committed to the care of the sick and suffering and education of the orphaned, abandoned and needy youth. The Congregation is now present in different parts of the world, accomplishing the mission of its founder through various charitable activities. Universal Education Academy is a Mission of CFIC Fathers in India in the field of health care. The objectives of Universal Education Academy is to mould efficient, and competent nurses in the field of health care. The institute assures the students all the facilities and good environment for their smooth study and growth to become a competent nurse.

Philosophy of the institute is consistent with the noble teaching of the Blessed Luigi Maria Monti, the Founder of CFIC Fathers. We believe in educating nurses to meet the challenges of the modern health care delivery system, in conformity with the discipline of nursing profession. The management and faculty of Universal education academy believe that in a changing society, nursing has a significant role to play in order to maintain values and improve health of people along a positive continuum.

OUR COURSE

Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery

This is a Diploma level course of 3 years and 6 months. Upon successful completion of this course, Karnataka State Nursing Council will award the Diploma to the students. This course prepares the students for a well rounded exposure to nursing skill and profession. There is a sanctioned capacity of 50 for this course at Universal Education Academy

Eligibility

Students should have passed the two-year Pre-university examination or its equivalent, and have scored not less than 40% of marks in the optional subjects and should have completed 17 years of age. The upper age limit is 35 years.

• Admissions available only for Girls.
• Hostel facilities available.

Eligibility

• Pass in puc/pdc (10 + 2) with 40% aggregate marks from recognized Pre University (PU) board.
• Students shall be medically fit.
• Admission of students shall be once in an academic year.
• minimum age 17 years, maximum age 35 years.

Programme Duration

• Three Years & Six Months covering intensive theory classes, attending towards for observation and supervised practice.
• N.B. : All applications should accompany a D.D. or cash Rs 500/- drawn in favour of , "Universal college of nursing" payable at, Bangalore
