YNCON Kakching

The Yengkhom Netramani College of Nursing (YNCON), Kakching is situated in the southeastern part of Manipur at Lamdong, in Kakching District. The Institute is established with values to provide quality nursing education so as to achieve high level performance in Nursing Practice, Administration, Management and Research also leading to attainment of Bachelor degree in Nursing. It is the first and only institute with an area of 36,945sq.ft. in Kakching district providing Nursing Education.
The Parent Hospital of this institute is 100 bedded Jivan Hospital situated at the same campus. The Hospitalis a registered private partnership firm/trust with Regn.No.35 of 2007-2008 whose belief is to provide hope & healing to every patient and effective medical care 24x 7 to the people residing in and around Kakching.
The Affiliated Hospitals of this institute are the (1) Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Lamphelpat, (2) Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat, Imphal-East, (3) Thoubal District Hospital, (4) Chandel District Hospital and (5) Raj Medicity Hospital.
The Rural Community Health Center, Kakchingand Urban Primary Health Center, Kakching are the Community Health Nursing Practice areas of Yengkhom Netramani College of Nursing, Kakching for B.Sc. Nursing program.

Rules And Regulations​

• All the students are required to conduct himself/herself in a disciplined and befitting manner and maintain the decorum both inside and outside the Institute premises.
• Breach of discipline and failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute, hostel or mess or if any student is found indulging in ragging or any other undesirable, illegal, anti social or destructive activities in the college, he/she is liable to be fined or rusticated or expelled from the college.

Course Offered:-

B. Sc. Nursing

• The B.Sc. Nursing program is a 4 years (eight semesters) course, to achieve award of degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The Indian Nursing Council has given permission to conduct B.Sc. (N) Course with anannual intake capacity of 40 (Forty) seats. The College believes that the young professional students with broad knowledge and skill will be highly competent in rendering quality nursing care with scientifically rational and evidence based health care services.
• Whether it is our books or hands-on training, we make sure each student gets personal attention to cope up and flourish in every subject for better scores and a brighter future.

COURSE OVERVIEW

ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS

• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
• Minimum educational qualification:
• Candidate with Science who has passed the qualifying 12th standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English subject individually.
• English should be compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing.
• Color blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
• Candidate shall be medically fit.
• Married candidates are also eligible for admission
• Selection of candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination. Entrance test shall compromise of:

1. The start of the semester shall be on 1st July
2. No admission after the cut-off date i.e. 30th July will be undertaken.
