Nursing course are designed that the nurses may be skilled, not only in bedside care but also understand the principles of health and prevention of disease. During the course of this training it is expected that they acquire a good deal of experience in the development of health teaching, in­ out patient department and wards of the Hospital, Maternal and child health clinics, home visit and domiciliary midwifery practice both at rural and urban areas.
The role of the nurse as a member of health team is very vital. The doctor makes the diagnosis and prescribes drugs but the total care of the patient has to be managed by the nurse. Hence a great responsibility lies with the nurse. Nursing care is generally viewed as a unique health service system which aims at providing care to the individuals in various conditions which cannot be managed by the family members.

Within a short span Yashwant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal has started basic Bsc Nursing program on 22 July 2015.
