Yenepoya Nursing college is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC), Bengaluru and Constituent college of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. The College offers General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Basic B.Sc (N), Post Basic B.Sc(N), M.Sc (N) programmes and Ph.D in Nursing under the Faculty of Nursing , Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). The University is accredited as with NAAC ‘A’ and Ranked 86th in National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF)-2020.

Yenepoya Nursing College is committed to provide quality nursing education. We offer Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Basic B.Sc.(N), Post Basic B.Sc.(N) M.Sc.(N) and Ph.D in Nursing under the Faculty of Nursing, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). The college offers best of the facilities to enhance learning through Wi-Fi enabled campus, ICT enabled classrooms, e-learning platforms, advanced simulation facility and more importantly the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers (NABH) accredited Yenepoya Medical College Hospital as the clinical practice set up. Value added courses encourage further skill enhancement under the able guidance of well qualified, skilled and committed faculty.

History

Yenepoya Nursing College , a brainchild of the Islamic Academy of Education trust (IAE) was established in 2002. Yenepoya Nursing College inspired by our motto “Rabbi Zidni Ilma" in Arabic, taken from the Holy Quran which means Lord, increase me in knowledge. The college aims to preparing graduate nurses with a professional outlook. Since 2009 the college is affiliated to Yenepoya (Deemed to be University).

• The college is recognized by Government of Karnataka (GoK), Indian Nursing Council(INC), New Delhi and Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC), Bengaluru.
• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery was started in 1998 and offers 60 seats
• The Basic B.Sc Nursing program offered 50 seats up to 2002, 75 seats up to 2005 and is offering 100 seats since 2005.
• MSc Nursing program was started in 2008 and offers 25 seats, 5 in each specialization since 2010.
• Post Basic B.Sc Nursing offers 60 seats since 2021.
